sry110's 2006 Z
I passed my 5 year anniversary with the Z a couple months ago and thought it would be fun to compile a quick photo history of the car. Hope you enjoy!
Brand new 2006 Z Enthusiast, Magnetic Black, March 2006
Added Fujitsubo exhaust and JIC Y-pipe July 2006:
Installed Hotchkis springs in early March 2007, rocking my winter wheels SSR Comp-H in bright silver with Blizzak LM22 tires:
A couple of weeks later UPS dropped off these beauties, PIAA Super Rozza 19x9 and 19x10 +25 in silver with Toyo T-1R:
In September 2007 I added a Veilside V1 front lip in FRP and GReddy side skirts:
August 2008 I sold off the PIAA's and picked up a set of Volk LE28n 19x9.5 and 19x10.5 +22 in gloss black with Toyo T-1R 255/35/19 and 285/35/19. Somewhere in here I also installed Motordyne's MREV2 lower plenum and 5/16" plenum spacer:
The LE28n's were short-lived. I sold them in February 2009 when a set of CE28n's in Formula Silver and the same sizes came across the my350z marketplace. Also replaced the rear OEM splash guards with a set of replica Nismo rears:
Got rid of the GReddy sideskirts and installed Veilside V1 side wings in CF in spring 2009:
Installed an OEM style rear deck spoiler at some point in 2010:
Summer 2010 added 10mm spacers to the rear wheels:
December 2010 the stealership broke my Veilside lip in half by pulling too far into a parking spot after an oil change, so they reimbursed me for it and I bought a Mine's lip (from Evo-r) in carbon fiber. Around the same time I replaced the color-matched Nismo rears with USDM-style carbon fiber Nismo rear replicas, had my front bumper and hood repainted, and just recently had OEM Brembo brakes with powerslot rotors and stainless lines installed. This is how it currently sits:
UPDATED March 2012:
In July 2011 I installed BC Racing BR series coilovers:
(sorry for grainy pics)
Then in March 2012 I parted ways with my CE28n's and put on a set of LE37t's with Hankook V12's, and Muteki neo-chro lug nuts. Also deleted the rear wiper:
April 14th 2012:
I swapped my 10mm rear spacers for 15mm, and swapped my 5mm front spacers for 10mm, so now I'm at +7 rear offset and +12 front offset. Took some more photos (sorry, they are phone quality pics again, plus Photobucket's down-sampling)
August 2012: Clear front bumper reflectors swapped for black ones, removed VeilSide side underwings and went back to just OEM side skirts, removed Nismo replica CF rear fins and added Shine Top-Secret style rear diffuser, removed Fujitsubo cat-back exhaust and installed Invidia Gemini true-dual with rolled burnt Ti tips, finally put on some RAYS/Volk decals, got the windows tinted (20% sides, 15% rear), got an Evo-r carbon fiber shifter surround cover and a Blox neo-chro shift ****. Also lowered the car about 1/4" more all around:
July 2013 I removed my VeilSide V1 side wings, reinstalled my clear front bumper reflectors and installed some carbon fiber universal side splitters. Here are a couple of pics from just before I removed the side wings:
And with the CF side splitters:
Fast forward to March 2017- a final update. After 11 great years with the Z, I finally said goodbye. I could not bear to see the car sitting in the garage being grossly under-utilized.....I'm talking 550 miles in 3.5 years!.....while continuing to pay for insurance and upkeep, so I decided to let it go. The following are some final shots I grabbed before putting the stock wheels back on and sending it off with the new owner:
Comments and criticisms welcome!

Appreciate it!
Thank you sir!
Thanks! It's been trial and error, occasionally buying crappy stuff to save some money but ultimately realizing it's worth the extra few bucks for great quality with OEM fitment.
Thank you sir, and I will do my best!
Thanks man! LOL I don't know what you're talking about. If you ever get rid of those RE30's I'll drive over to Ohio and smack you. They look perfect, don't change a thing!

Looks good man. It's like our cars are twins . I remember back in the day I wanted the PIAA's.
It definitely was a good choice going with formula silver on the CE's. I wanted to get that over merc. silver at times. When you took off the splash guards did you have small "ghost" lines? I'm working on getting the faint outlines off, it annoys the hell out of me. It looks like you don't have the outlines I have.

I do have the ghost lines from the OEM splash guards. Used to drive me nuts but now I'm used to it. Check the 3rd picture down in the section where I installed the f.silver CE's, looking at the back of the car, you can see it pretty clearly above the nismo add-on.
Do you have the 3M part number for that stuff???
Thank you
