microsteve40's pink on redline (ADV.1 inside)

I haven't posted up a proper thread with my latest wheel/color combo, so here it is. I sold my metallic blue AME Circlar Spec-R's and picked up a set of ADV.1s. Thanks to Eric at Get Your Wheels for the new setup!

ADV.1 ADV10TF
19x 9.5 +0, 225/35/19 F
19x 10.5 -5, 245/35/19 R

The color is matte light pink. As always, I welcome all comments, good and bad!

I loved the Blue Spec-R's...I can't decide my feelings on this set up. Pic 2 and 3 look like a toy car for some reason.

That's funny, that was the first thing I thought about the car when I put the new wheels on. I like the color combo, but think it's kind of goofy, like an RC car or something...

they have massive potential. well executed.

tribal_visionz Nov 9, 2011 08:41 PM

Looks good, definitely different! What fender work was needed to fit those wheel?

terrasmak Nov 10, 2011 04:59 AM

Not digging the pink on red , but i think the pink would look great on a different color Z. The yellow calipers clash with the pink too.

JDSMotoring Nov 10, 2011 05:09 AM

nice looking wheels but i agree with the previous post about not digging the colors but to each their own.

BoomerZ33 Nov 10, 2011 05:23 AM

nice ADV's! your car reminds me of a candy cane. interesting color choices. valentines day theme perhaps?

VQ35deMax Nov 10, 2011 06:20 AM

I think the color combo works pretty good.

Rickdogg Nov 10, 2011 06:39 AM

Nice fitment...just too many colors going on.

Ruthless18x Nov 10, 2011 06:42 AM

Nice fit, but really clashes in my opinion. Like a ginger wearing a pink polo.

Chebosto Nov 10, 2011 07:19 AM

that looks like an awesome road to drive on. where is it? i <3 the big open blue sky and rolling hills.

Kwame Nov 10, 2011 07:30 AM

I like it. Nice job!

Thanks everyone for the comments!

Nothing too drastic. My rears are rolled flat, but no pull at all. And same with the front. My fenders came out beautifully, and the fitment is absolutely perfect with the tire stretched.

I agree, but I haven't decided if I like it or don't like it yet! I'm entertaining the idea of painting all 4 calipers to match, but not sure what color I'd choose.

Ha, I've always wanted anodized green wheels, but thought it would look too Christmas-y. Never thought of the pink and red as Valentine's Day-ish! I just wanted to try something different. I've had silver and blue, thought I'd go with something a little more unique. And the pink really does go well with the cherry blossoms on the hood/fender, which you can't see much of in the pics I posted!

It's Highway 21 just outside of Boise, near the Lucky Peak Reservoir. The road I'm actually on is just a big turnaround/parking area near the reservoir. You can see a bit of the actual road in the background in one of the pics, and it's ok there, but it gets better a few miles further north.

Flo-ridaZ33 Nov 10, 2011 09:33 AM

Lol... I like it but the pink and red clash a little. Somehow it works, how light/heavy are the wheels?

BSERIEuS Nov 10, 2011 09:36 AM

i like the wheel design. fitment looks proper.

i'm 50/50 on the colour though.

DjTyfightr Nov 10, 2011 10:23 AM

i like it

kelsey_kaye Nov 10, 2011 10:33 AM

I didn't have a good feeling about this reading the title, and I still feel the same way. It just doesn't work for me at all. As for advice, I'd definitely changed the caliper colors if you plan on keeping the rims pink.

on the other hand the wheels and fitment are really nice. The 2nd to last pic looks pretty cool
