Final Build Thread for My Z - She's Done
I have owned my Z for the last 7+ years and have really learned so much from building it into what you see today. Not only have I made a bunch of friends I have also really enjoyed driving this car and look forward to keeping it for as long as I possibly can.
With that being said, I can now safely say that I have achieved everything I could have wanted for this car and can now say that my build is done. My overall theme is more of a grand touring car which I an enjoy on the weekends but still be able to handle an occasional canyon run Enjoy the pics and I will list the entire spec sheet at the end of the post Starting out with what I always have thought was my favorite angle of my car, it shows off all of the modifications and highlight the rear end http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GhmFetohbl...0/IMG_3556.JPG Side profile shot showing my new NISMO V3 style front bumper with V2 canards. I was trying to get the flags to both be showing but gave up lol http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5yGYqNsr59...0/IMG_3558.JPG The new front bumper is by far the longest bumper I have ever run but it is surprisingly not that low at all which helps for me http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-IzUBM6V_aw...0/IMG_3561.JPG Closeup of the front bumper with the canards placed in a similar location that my V2 bumper utilized, I also opted to run a front emblem to allow for definition http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-DAIiiPxN9v...0/IMG_3562.JPG My buddies at Mardikian Automotive also gave the car a nice polish so the paint looks really good even for a 9+ year old car http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-fS-q4XBrzy...0/IMG_3563.JPG The Potenza RE760's tires are more wide than they are tall so fender clearance is the best on any tire I have run http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yKP8MdrWz7...0/IMG_3567.JPG 5 years ago this month I bought my wheels and had them painted, I go out of my way for them to look like this and it tells you that hand washing really pays off http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-6f-J9U79fI...0/IMG_3572.JPG This has also been a favorite angle of mine, shows off my tucked rear bumper and GT-Spec rear tire bar http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_pKvwH8DfO...0/IMG_3574.JPG I love this spoiler even though alot of others don't. You need to have a full exterior to pull it off IMO http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kNMELjKhmp...0/IMG_3592.JPG You can see my black and silver theme throughout the car, including my emblems http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EmVu_mEPa9...0/IMG_3593.JPG Still plenty of clearance with the rear wheels, mmm shiny! http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6R3Jwz7GhI...0/IMG_3573.JPG You can definitely tell this is a much more daily-driver friendly setup, defintely wider than any other setup I have run too http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XqZhVk00lW...0/IMG_3564.JPG I love this photo, sun was setting and it really shows off the Silverstone http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6bIrPiEqnK...0/IMG_3570.JPG Build Specs Engine Greddy Evo2 exhaust Stillen HFC's MOtordyne 5/16th spacer NISMO Cold Air Intake Greddy Air Diversion plate Greddy Strut bar painted dark grey Engine Cover painted dark grey EVO-R carbon fiber battery/brake covers NISMO Oil cap NISMO radiator Cap Mobil 1 oil & Oil filter Wheels & Tires NISMO LMGT4's 19x8.5 (+25) & 19x9.5 (+30) painted gloss black Bridgestone Potenza RE760's 245-35-19, 275-35-19 H&R 20mm spacers painted matte black Muteki black lugs Brakes Track edition Brembo Front and Rear Calipers StopTech slotted rotors StopTech Street Pads Stoptech SS lines Motul Fluid Exterior NISMO V3 style front bumper by Extreme Dimensions NISMO V2 style carbon fiber canards NISMO V2 style side skirts NISMO V1 style rear pieces NISMO V1 USDM rear spoiler NISMO CF B-pillars Tucked Rear bumper Shaved Rear fenders Gloss black emblems Gloss black door handles Gloss black vinyl roof 06+ LED Rear taillights 06+ Front headlights painted matte black w upgraded bulbs and STi lenses Z-Speed Undertray Z-Speed V3 undertray extension NISMO matte black License plate frame LED License plate lights 30% front tint & 20% rear Suspension Eibach Pro-Kit springs Tokico HP shocks SPC Rear camber Arms GT-Spec rear-tie bar Stillen Swaybars Powergrid Endlinks SPL LCA bushings Interior/Audio Pioneer AVIC-D3 with navigation antenna and Ipod cable run through cubby Satin black painted center console Nissan Europe Brushed aluminum A/C Vent covers Custom Iphone holder in coin tray NISMO Floormats |
That is 1 clean Z33. Congrats man, she's a beauty. You say you're done, but there is always something down the road you'll want to add. It's an addiction being a car enthusiast.

Beautiful Z! :)

+1 you are never done lol. I also like the v2 front instead of the 3, flow better with your sides IMO. Beautiful car none the less!

Looking good sir!

For once since I have owned this car there is nothing that I am actively looking for. Other than detailing some areas here and there and general maintenance I can honestly say as long as nothing breaks I am not changing a thing. :icon38:

I had the V2 for about 3 years and really enjoyed it but when I damaged it beyond repair I wanted to do something different so I went V3. In SoCal V2's are everywhere so it's good to do something that not everyone has.

Looks good. No engine bay or interior shots tho? I actually liked your V2 bumper more than the V3 but I like them better overall. I hate that wing lol as u stated most don't like it ans I definitely don't but overall I do like your car especially the rims.

Since you're done, I hope you are not thinking about selling it and starting a new project? We all know sh!t ain't cheap starting over. |
Nice job Waizz...but I think it still needs a Vortech kit ;)
But hey, are we ever really done modding our cars? |
Beautiful car. Keep it classy.
|
Looks nice!
|
Timelessly clean. Hopefully, I can make it out to the next meet to see this awesomeness in person.
|

Didn't know you damaged your V2 homie. You're right, V2's are everywhere but a lot of them don't run the canards with the nismo sides and rear along with the wheels... this is what I like about your set up.
Since you're done, I hope you are not thinking about selling it and starting a new project? We all know sh!t ain't cheap starting over. Plus now who else can say they ran the NISMO V1, NISMO V2, and NISMO V3 on their car? I can :icon38: This bumper suits me alot better since it is alot higher and easier to daily and since my driveway is gnarly it helps me get in and out alot easier
