Manny's 2004 350z Progress Thread
Hello all and welcome to my build thread. All critics are welcomed.
Just wanna show the progress of my car and hopefully inspire some as some have inspired me.
Here's the first photo I took when I brought it home.
Didn't take long before I wanted to change the look, so I went ahead with the Nismo V2 bumper, carbon duct, and carbon canards.
Later on I did the rear bumper tuck and while I was back there I replaced the reverse lights for some new ones.
Next up was the engine bay. Nismo intake, JWT pop charger, Motordyne 5/16 spacer, and Nismo radiator cap. Since the plenum usually gets dirty due to it being a silver finish.. wrinkle black it went and I personally think it's a much cleaner look. While I was in there I added an ac flex duct, that way the air is more direct to the filter.
The interior was next on the list. Factory mats were done so replaced them with the Nismo mats. Previous owner already did me the favor by installing a double din (win). So with some cash floating in the air I decided to purchase Nrg short hub, Sparco suede steering wheel, and my personal favorite... ARC shift ****.
The SA90 wheels were on my previous car and were just stored away. So rocked them on the Z for a bit until I decided to sell them. Specs on them was 17x9+22 square.
Now I know getting power out of the VQ isn't easy unless going FI or swap but I wanted to gain something. So I bought PPE long tube headers.

Lately I've been so caught up with work that I haven't gotten any time to update this thread. So here are a couple things I've done/gathered up.
Picked up a Bride cuga seat. Needs a good scrub down.
I couldn't stand the grey headliner any longer, so went to my local autozone and bought some vinyl black paint. Such cleanness, much wow lol. Definitely cleaner look. Sorry for the crappy picture.
NRG aluminum finish plate. Gives it a very nice touch.
Got the car back from paint this past Monday. Nismo side skirts, Nismo rear valances, Ings rear spoiler, upgraded to 06/08 taillights, and put some 15% tints. Ended up plasti dipping the wheels to spice it up a little while I save and wait for my other wheels.

So I was suppose to pick up some 18x10.5 Enkei NT03 square but instead I got a run around. I tried to stay away from these since almost every car has them but ended up picking these guys up. Once mounted that gloss black grew on me quick. High gloss black RPF1s 18x10.5+15 all around wrapped in 255/40. Added a 8mm spacer to the rears. Needs more BEEF!
Also finally got around to installing the footwell lights. Definitely gives the cabin a nice touch at night.

Small little update to keep this thread alive.
Rear speakers didn't work, So might as well upgrade the fronts too.
Black aluminum oil catch can. Now just waiting on the powersteering and overflow tank.
Alright so a while back I bought a JIC TI exhaust and long story short, The canister itself has seen better days and the guts were all over the place causing horrible rattling. On top of that the 2 bolts that connect to the midpipe snapped off clean.
So since I haven't seen this done yet.... curiosity got the best of me. Either it turns out good or horribly bad. 3" K-tuned muffler. Pretty sure with a rear diffuser it'll complement it nicely.
Also picked this up from a member on here. Port & Polished lower plenum.

Forgot to mention that when I bought the Z the previous owner had already installed Eibach lowering springs. Only thing I have done has been a Stillen tie bar. I'm all over the place with the car and just "TRYING" to finish one section at a time. But good deals are hard to pass up lol.

Alright so finally got a day off to get a couple things done to the Z.
Installed the port/polished lower plenum. Throttle feels smoother but just could be.
Strut tower bar painted black. Carbon fiber cover. And came across a sweet sweet deal on these 06 headlights for just $350.
Out with the old
And in with the new.
Everything put back nicely.

Decided to ditch the Bride seat for some extra cash and finish some things that I've been wanting to finish. Aside from that still waiting on my side mirrors and headlights to come back from paint and a couple more packages to come in.
First was upgrading my tires since they were shot. I went with the Pirelli p zero rosso 265/35 front and 285/35 rear. Not the best photo but hey!! look at my cool sticker!
Torque Solution transmission mount. Let's see how this will feel.
Big thanks to Admin Tuning for his great customer service and for building me this custom 3.5" intake with built in maf housing and for providing me with some GTR injectors.
XYZ y-pipe with a straight. Keeping the neighbors up haha. Only thing left to do is weld on the k tuned muffler.
Since the 06/08 headlights are getting all freshened up, I went ahead and decided to get some new ballast and 6k bulbs from the retrofit source.
