Default Anything in February? Dallas

Well the weather killed us in January. Towards the end of the Jan thread we began talking about February. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone...are we putting together a Feb Meet?

I don't think that's a very good idea.
BTW, I would like all the people to race. Spectators still have to pay to get in, so might as well pay a little bit more and see what you and your car can do.

I'm still debating on going or not. Much of it depends on the date. If I do go I would probably put the stock wheels back on. I don't think my Volks aren't ideal for racing.

I'm going to rock the 19's...3hree5ive0ero doesn't want me to put drag radials on...he knows i will take his title if i do. heeheeheeheeheeeeeeee. I'll seriously probably run a 14.4, my car feels slow, i barely pulled on a S2000 with an Amuse exhaust, intake and advan wheels, my clutch is going to make me look stoopid too i'm sure. JDMFairladyZ33 knows what i'm talking about.

Clutches don't make people look stupid..people who don't know how to operate one make themselves look stupid. Also Nick, I think your wheels are much better suited for the track than mine.

You voted for the 10th and that's the date most people want, so I think you're fine. And putting on stocks may be a good idea in case you damage those pretty rims of yours.

Damn, people sure do like to pick on me. BTW, drag radials won't be fair for the others (no boasting rights for you then) and you can't really see how you'd do in real life w/o drag radials. Also, the hardest for you will be launching with that crotch rocket flywheel of yours. It's ok though. There are many less trafficked roads between here and there.

What if i run drag radials 100% of the time, can i get the rights if i choose to have better tires than the other guys? It's not like they can't get them if they want them, it's prefectly fair.

I never had anything else on my firebird, 315.35.17 bfg drag radials 100% of the time.

Gosh...JDMFairladyZ33 takes stabs at me no matter what i say

Anywho, i will let anyone try to drive my car....$20 bucks each time you stall it...no free stalls. And you can't spin the tires.

What's wrong ... that license that McDonalds gave you in the happy meal didn't give you the ability to judge if you are going to hit the curb or not?

I'll take you up on that one. I'll rev it up to 4500 rpm each them I dump your clutch with same right foot on the brakes. BTW...you started it. But seriously, I may be joinning you soon depending on how my tranny swap goes. I'm looking to change to an aftermarket clutch/flywheel combo.

Running drag radials all the time is just stupid, especially with such a weak car. Unless you consistently have traction issues due to so much power there's no need (even Tim drives on streets). Think about this - if running drag radials at all times were a good idea, why do people drive to the track on streets and then put them on at the track? Plus, because the tires are stickier they pick up more stuff and they throw them out at your car, which hurts the underbody and other components.

edit:
Did we scare the OP away?

That is why i had them on my firebird and do not have them on the Z. But i was just saying that if i did would i still have the bragging rights?

Actually I know a few mustang owner who run BFG drags at all times. Those things have like less than 80 treadwear. But then again they are also putting out 600+ hps. But seriously, I think the reasons why most people dont run drags all the time are due to the fact they dont last very long and they are expensive as hell.

No, as others were on streets thus their times would be slower w/o a doubt. That's like saying, "I have a turbo Z and I trap 10 mph higher than you."

That's another reason. You'd have to replace them 2-3 times a year.
