Ok, mayby I can make it on the 23rd. I'll have to drive up from Pasadena.
BTW: I'm not intrested in mods yet, but what about spark plugs?
Also, I've been running to 7,000 rpm before shifting - is this good?
TIA for all replies. I can't help myself. some folk say I'm too old for this; but I love this s***. Tis the most fun I've had (with my clothes on) in a long time, LOL

Yes, I'm 100% positive this time. Doors open at 6, race from 7 to midnight. I also attached a jpg of the schedule.
creed, depending on what motor you have and what your powerbands look like, that 7K shift may or may not be the best. Assuming you have the revup, 7K should be your optimum shift point.
edit - btw, I invited/challenged vicpham to a drag race on April 6th, because he seemed to have the closest time to mine around here. So if you can't make the 23rd of this month, you should come to that one.

I was asked that last night by Kevin
I'm thinking I need to shift at 6300. I actually hit 5th last night for some reason...

If it's the former two, then you shift at whatever your redline is, 6.6K or 7K respectively. And I've not seen an HR's dyno sheet, but I'd expect shift point to be redline also.
BTW, you should NEVER hit 5th gear, unless you have so much power that you're going through the gears like nothing. But that is clearly not the case.

If you have an 06, then you have the revup, which redlines at 7, so that's when you shift.
Also, I forgot about that 07 dynojet graph. I'm not going to calculate **** for something I don't have, but I'm fairly certain you should shift at redline with the 07's also.

Nice, getting more interest from users. Hopefully, you guys continue racing even after the 23rd race day. I'm looking forward to meeting new racers/competition.

I'm definitely there as long as the track's open. I'll let you guys know if it's open or not, but that'll be Thursday. Even they don't know for sure until then.
I'm gonna try to get better than 13.55 @ 105.
