Z's Around Ft. Belvoir

Seen a couple hot Z's on/around Ft. Belvoir. Two Redline, both force-fed, and two PPW, one with Nismo graphics and one with chromies. Wondering what you people do up here and where you chill at. I drive the LS one that's always parked by the hospital.

Do you roll with any Z's around Springfield? I work <5 min from the mall.

bboypuertoroc Dec 13, 2005 12:03 PM

You got PM.

haha, I was kinda waiting for something like that...I've been busy as all hell with work for the past 4 months or so. Plus the g/f moved to Chapel Hill for grad school, so in my free time I've been down there.

Glad to see my name is still remembered :icon38:

Hey nashjam, I think I saw you at Potomac Mills the other day.

We all need to get together sometime and roll around, making people jealous...

nashjam Dec 22, 2005 05:35 AM

Hey speaking of, wanted to ask you guys about car washes.

Obviously normally in the summer I baby this car with hand washes and Zaino, but in the winter I was really hoping to find a place to run it through a wash every now and then where I could wipe it down after with Z6. Unfortunately the first one I went to turns out the rail is so freaking high, the Z wont fit on it - and mine is bone stock with 17s, no lowering or anything. Thinking of going back to Davids Car Wash in Shirlington as thats where I used to live and I know they do detailing and also just hand washes for $20. Figure one every few weeks will get me through. Any suggestions in the immediate area? I live in Kingstowne, just a few miles North of the Telegraph Gate to Ft Belvoir off Beulah.

The only car wash that has the do-it-yourself power wash type is off of route 1 in woodbridge. It's usually pretty busy though. I'm pretty sure you won't find any of those in Fairfax County as the Fairfax County Water Authority is very particlar about waste water treatment before being dumped into the sewers. Fortunately enough I go to my girlfriend's parents in Bowie Md. to wash mine.

dcmidnight Dec 22, 2005 05:54 PM

Yeah I could wash mine right at my place but in the winter like to bring the hoses in and drain the lines so the pipes dont freeze. I'll have to check out the place in Woodbridge, is it easiest to go down 95? Thanks.

nashjam Dec 22, 2005 06:00 PM

if you're in/ near Kingstown it would probably be just as easy to go straight down route 1. If you're going south it'll be on your left. Once you go over the Occoquan it's about 2 miles or so.

Actually I just found a coin-op do it yourself car wash on Rt 1 in Fort Belvoir last night. There is a Uhaul rental place that has 2 bays, open to the public. It's kind of hard to see, but it's there.

Anyhow, just thought I'd post on this thread, I just moved to the Ft Belvoir area.

Welcome to the area. I know they are in the process of finishing the one on Ft. Belvoir. If you can get on post it will probably be your best bet. Military **** is usually cheaper than civilian. And from all the ones I used before, they've all been hot water, not cold.

user 7490 Dec 29, 2005 08:50 AM

What do you have to do to get onto the base? I'd love to get a military ID. I know some guys who have them that get off of tickets a lot if they show them to cops. nice angle.
