Z Club for VA Beach/ Hampton Roads Z's

I am organizing a Z club in the VA Beach/Hampton Roads area. If you are interested in being a part of this let me know.

Meeting will take place on Wed nights at a location to be announced at a later time.

I am planning things like:

Cruises
Dinners
BBQ's
Family Days
and lots of other things.

Thanks for your input,
JOhn Young

I would be interested. :hello: That sounds like a cool idea John.

Mikestoyz Mar 23, 2006 11:34 AM

Count me in John

NIZZMO Mar 23, 2006 12:59 PM

Interesting idea John

Mike Wazowski Mar 23, 2006 01:33 PM

cool, sounds like there is interest. How about throwing some potential names out for the club...

SHIFT_PINOY Mar 23, 2006 03:51 PM

Ill be down just as long as we don't have to drive to timbucktoo to meet up. As far as a name for the club just keep it short and sweet. nothing to make us sound ricey. how bout "team sleep"? LoL j/j

* for the people that don't get it, if we are all lined up in a row, its gonna be a buch of ZZZZZZZZs *

had to cover that before someone said something. Also its a joke.

I am also going to gauge some interest from the Z32 people in the area. I think a 300z/350z club would be the way to go. I know there is another tidewater club, but they are mostly older guys with the 240/260/280z's. I wanted something for the more "hip" crowd around here.

I am going to get started on a news letter and seeking out a few local sponsors. I will set up a time and date next month for a general meeting where we can discuss things more in detail.

If everyone can send/PM me their e-mail address I will start a group for easier communication among members.

Thanks for the interest in this and if you know others interested have them contact me as well.

Hey I'm 40 is that too old? I'm interested although I wouldn't show every Wednesday night.

navynukeme Mar 23, 2006 04:58 PM

Sweet. I would try to make it. Love the idea!!

Axel Mar 23, 2006 05:33 PM

Count me in.

Playboy757 Mar 23, 2006 09:34 PM

sounds like a good idea. i''m definately interested but since i work retail... i don't think i'd be able to make EVERY wednesday. cool?

Mike Wazowski Mar 24, 2006 12:14 AM

no one would be required to be there every wed night, that would just be the meeting times. No one is to old to join. Now you all need to throw some ideas for a group now out. =)

I'd be interested as well- props to you USN HM 350Z for going forward with it. I'm in the beginning stages of building a house outside of Suffolk in NC so my time is getting limited, but I would be up for something like this (or at least trying). I agree on a non-rice name for the group, no "team- xxxxx" or anything like that. something simple, no frills. something to do with 757, tidewater (not to take away from the tidewater z club though), mid-atlantic, vq, (i'm just rattling off here)

Mike Wazowski Mar 24, 2006 02:49 AM

what about something like ZCVB? (Z Club of Virginia Beach)

My old club was ZCSD (Z club of San Diego).

This is a slight spin off of a suggestion above but how about...

Z's Of Mid Atlantic (ZOMA)

Let me know if it sounds stupid. :icon18:

This problem is the Mid Atlantic ranges from NC up past Maryland. no way to have a centralized club for that big of an area.

USN HM 350Z, I think you would find a few (5-7) members who would join on www.autocross.us

They were dissatisfied with the current club.
