I don't pay attention to local meets ...

without a date and location in the title. There is a wide choice of 350Z meets, and I would rather not sift through a thread to figure out when and where. So threads such as:

Big meet next Saturday

350Z Meet in Baltimore

and 10th Annual Spring Fling do not get my attention.

If you are the OP, please put a date and location in the title line. Appreciated.:)

....with 7400+ posts it would seem that you read and post on a ton of threads.....but reading one for a local meet is to much for you? That seems kind of odd IMO. There's not many threads I see that you don't post on, maybe cut back on the pictures you post and it will free up some time to read for local meets, just an idea to consider.

david you missed a pretty good one at antwerpen nissan, and yes date and time were posted.

davidv not PumpedVA. PumpedVA, I've read a lot of your posts, they are productive and informative.
I understand what you guys are saying, I even agree with it to a certain extent but, if you have time to put up comments and pictures on just about every thread, you shouldn't complain about having to read them......it just seems stupid to me. Just like with David’s post, we are all entitled to our opinions, he posted his, and I posted mine. Maybe instead of posting what he doesn't like about the threads others post, he should do something to fix it. He could offer to organize them and take over the posts about local meets.....instead of whining about the way others do them, that would be more productive than the pictures and some of comments I've seen him post. He's an intelligent guy, he could be an asset to the board, his focus is just in the wrong area.

It would appear that he has some serious free time on his hands.....
Give it a day or so, he'll have something creative to say to me. You'll see, he's a smart guy, he just needs help with his perspective.

BobbyRitz Apr 29, 2006 07:28 AM

Murph,

We should meet up some time. I'd love to check out your Z.

I think davidv's post count is simply because he says, short and sweet, what 90% of the board is thinking, but too lazy or afraid to post...

Example 1: Someone posts, "I am looking to buy a Z soon and wondering what turbocharger would be best if I get it..."

Davidv Responds: "Buy the Z first, then let's talk."

It's short and simple, but its probably the truth. 9 out of 10 posts, "I'm looking at a Z" end with the person not buying a Z.

Example 2: Someone posts, "My buddy has a SS Camaro, who do you think will win? I have intake, exhaust."

Davidv Responds: "Go to the track and post back here with time-slips."

Again, short and simple, but the truth. We can bibble-babble all day long about Camaro SS v. 350Z, but in the end you get 24.7 of the same answers. "Driver's race" or "You will get smoked unless you get turbo". Davidv's response seems most common sense to me.

As far as the topic of the thread goes, I agree it would improve the quality of the board if date, time, location, etc. are posted, but I don't think it's possible 100% of the time. I have a post in Northeast and it's more of a "guaging interest" in a meet post. Not possible to set an exact time or location, but I got as close as I can.
