I reFunction:TUNED Myself: She's Back!! - Big Thanx to Car Toyz 2! + PICS!!!

I just got her back from Car Toyz II yesterday and snapped a few pictures while it sat on the showroom floor. I swear... Arthur is one of the most meticulously detail-oriented anal mofos in the universe when it comes to perfecting the paint, quality, and finish on a bodykit. He did a blend job for the bumper to the fender so everything fades in together perfectly. (Lazy shops just paint the bumper and call it a day)

Okay okay... stop tryin to bust my balls... it's not all show!!! It's HIGHLY Function:TUNED... you guys see the lil "Varis" air duct vent thingamabobber? That cold air induction vent gave me 28.63 whp on a DynoDynamics. The big fat lip on the bumper adds an extra few hundred lbs. of front-end downforce when traveling @ speeds in excess of 221+ mph... all while lookin' gangsta. I've learned how to 'lean wid it n rock wid it' while driving w/ my car's new look; let me tell you... ladies stare hardcore! I highly suggest anyone who is trying to get laid to get a tricked out bumper, eat rice, ride dirty, and get ur paint job done @ Car Toyz II

See you guys @ RicerFest on Sat.! :icon44:

Future Plans: (This question is going to come up, so I'll just answer it now)
Well I was planning on getting some kind of forced induction. I was considering some turbo of some sort... I mean, I don't really care what kind of turbo it is as long as it makes that cool "WhOoOoShing" noise when I let off the gas. I hear the RFL BOV works wonders for loud "whooshes" but I was planning on welding a metal gym whistle to the front of the BOV so it makes an even louder noise. I don't really care how fast the car goes or if it's really tuned correctly or even how much WHP it makes on a Dyno Dynamics, I just want a shiny FMIC so at the next car meet, people will point at my car (since I'm an attention whore.. the orange gave it away didn't it?) and go "OoOO.. he's turbo'd!" it boosts my ego by 19.3 psi. (also to compensate for something I lack... but let's keep that between you and I for now)

Well, with that being said, with any FI car I'd need those cool needle circular gauge pod gadgets... (any suggestions on brands?) I mean.. I have no idea what the heck they even mean or why people have them in their car, but the cool lit up backlights and moving needles makeup for my lack of what the crap they even do... it impresses ladies + win points @ car shows though and that's all that matters! (Do you guys REALLY stare at these things on a daily basis?)

Ok, I'm getting sleepy and no I am not drunk while I was writing this (just incase you were wondering) I really do want everyone's opinions since I have none of my own. Tell me what to do next guys. More stickers? Badges? Oil Cooler?

new bumper looks good, nice choice

enth05 Jun 22, 2007 03:48 AM

Who makes that bumper? Might have to throw in the cost of that with my TT savings.

bigslim350Z Jun 22, 2007 04:17 AM

I like the bumper but I would take out the mesh. That way people can see your oil cooler and intercooler.

davidv Jun 22, 2007 04:21 AM

Beautiful work.

03BrickyardZ Jun 22, 2007 04:37 AM

No oil cooler?

Rice. :icon17:

Looks good, man.

Nice looking ride, bet your glad to have her all fixed up.

You should definitely get a big decal on the side, then you won't need turbo with all the horses that adds.

Love those painted headlights

widebody350 Jun 22, 2007 05:01 AM

Looks nice...Was my car there?

Alberto Jun 22, 2007 05:33 AM

If your gonna be a puss and stay NA, you have to go big. Do some cams, UTEC and a ($$$$$) ARC oil cooler for that front end. Until you have the oil cooler or FI or both, your driving a rice bucket as far as Im concerned.

In all seriousness the car looks great, I need body work done, I think I know where I may go next. One Q, are they reasonable price wise?

bb1314 Jun 22, 2007 05:39 AM

Paint the mesh black or take it out! Did they charge you extra for that mesh? If so, ask for some money back!!!

BTW, that should've been my bumper!!

Alberto Jun 22, 2007 05:44 AM

Without the mesh and no FM it will look silly. +1 on painting it black.

umzzz Jun 22, 2007 05:47 AM

i think it looked better when you rolled it into the tree like in the second pic...

zchick321 Jun 22, 2007 06:08 AM

looks very sexy I must say...i guess it was worth the wait

THE TECH Jun 22, 2007 06:10 AM

Looks good.

annahandres Jun 22, 2007 06:15 AM

Looks good, you have the most entertaining posts on here lol.

Kieran@DrivenDynamics Jun 22, 2007 06:57 AM

Umm guys... The silver mesh was put there on purpose, he wanted it to semi resemble a FMIC. Basically hes going to tell all his friends who don't know any better that its an oversized FMIC which spans the entire front of car.
