matte black car wrap?
I'm thinking instead of getting a whole paint job... why not get my car wrapped in matte black... seems like the popular thing to not kill resale value. I've seen it on many exotics. Any idea how much this would be and where in the MD area I could get this done? Maybe Kieran can do this :) Here some pics

ooh i would totally want to do this too.. that would be freaking sick

I almost did that but was worried about it peeling in certain areas and just overall not giving the right effect unless it was done the correct way. Redline Design can probably hook you up

yeah I wanted to do the true "murdered out" look but takes balls haha
|
ooh i like that. I wouldn't feel the need to wax as much.

OMG i forgot about this option! Anyone know how much this kind of job costs? What kind of company should I look for to do it? A paint shop? I'm in Nashville... i hope I can find someone around here to do it.

Also interested in a price.

That looks good. But I would assume after driving it on the highway a couple times it would looks like ****. Rock chips will destroy the look, especially if you covered up a different color than black.

PS anyone seen the matte black evo at montrose before? |
I'd say between materials, install time and 2 guys working on it you are probably looking around $1500 to $2000 depending on the shop you take it to. Plus if you want it wrapped really good the headlights, tail lights and other things should be removed wrapped and then installed again.

I would do the roof, trunk, and hood first to see how you like it. If its a go...do the sides later...
my two cents. |

Damn I like.. I didn't realize they did this. I'm also curious about how this holds up, can you wash the car? will it fade? etc.
|
Because my car is already black I probably couldnt get away with doing just parts of the car in flat black. I would probably look real good on a redline Z though.

$3000 installed from vehicle wrap :eek
