Dang Mike. My insurance quoted me only $700 every 6 months for the GT-R. I had located an 09 Titanium in West Virginia for 63k with 14k miles, but it did not have the 2012 trans. I had did all the research on the maintenance prices and everything. The guy also had a 350z that he tracked, but he was super scared to track the GT-R. The guy also didn't want to come down on the price so I ended up buying an Ultra Sonic Blue IS-F as I wanted a decently fast daily to drive to work. My Z is now going under the knife to get something very special done to it....hehe.
I have a few friends that race professionally on road courses and are also instructors at FATT and other organizations. They all tell me that they don't respect GT-R drivers because it does most of the work for you. I laughed, but understood their arguments. My problem is that I won't be able to keep up with a GT-R at any of the track days even if I have 500whp. They can just put the power down much earlier and harder than the Z. Unless I can figure out how to run a 305 square setup....haha.
You want to trade your GT-R for my IS-F plus some cash??? Just a thought!! I keed I keed!

Hahaha. I will admit the GT-R is pretty boring to drive... It's true, all you have to do is put it in "R" mode for the Trans and then go race it... Don't have to worry about shifting or anything. Same thing for drag racing, you just mash the go pedal and go.
I was planning on doing a 700 HP upgrade kit this summer if I keep it, so it would even be faster than stock. l
I miss the Z a ton actually... I miss being in control and shifting.

The Z was much more fun to drive. Don't get me wrong, the feeling you get when flooring it in a GT-R is amazing. I've never been on a track before so idk how that compares. But it was much more fun to drive my Z.
I love the GT-R but it feels like you're driving a heavy computer.
