Default Today's Z Prices - Deal or No Deal?

Hola to all!

Friend of mine is looking at picking up a Z and I've been out of the Z world for a while now.

He found a yellow 05 enth w/ 30,000 miles at a stealership for $14,000.
Is that a decent deal this day in age or should he offer a bit lower?

Thanks Mid Dudes

Have you read the ad?

"This car gets 26MPG!"

LOL Downhill maybe!

I know that is the Estimated highway, but it is funny how they always try to show it like it is the real observed average... (works for every car...)

All my Corvettes WOULD GET 28+ MPG...in 6th gear at 55mph. Then again who drives on the highway 100% of the time at a steady speed.

baaaaahhhhhhhhhh

+1.

Even with the blower, I got 29MPG all day long on the interstate with the cruise on at 70MPH.

The Zs do actually get really good gas miliage for what they are, as long as you keep your foot outta the gas.

I'd even go as far as to say my Z gets better gas miliage then my 4cyl automatic Cavalier work car!

To the OP....

The car looks nice. I'd get someone (other then the dealer) to go over the car before you buy though. The dealer didn't even care enough to vacume the trunk out before they took the pics, so who knows what else they may have overlooked.

If you can't get them to go down on the price, at least see if they will repair the bolster wear on the drivers seat. Also looks like some damage to the bumper on the left side under the reflector. They will usually fix all that stuff in order to get a sale. I was able to get my tail light replaced (had a deep scratch in it) and all the little bumps and scratched repaired for free when i got mine. Just make sure your friend gets a "we owe" that has everything on it they are gonan fix or replace. Otherswise their word is worthless.

Looks like it was modified in a previous life. I would check it out good before pulling the trigger.
