VA/MD/DC 350Z's, anyone want to go to MIR?
 

Im looking to go down to MIR on friday night, dont know which friday night yet, but that night they have street races. Here is the website. www.MIRDRAG.com

I've only been to MIR one time before, and that was with a 2001 Jetta...FUN...haha

But yeah I'm down to go. Plus the ride out there would definitely be fun too I'm sure :D

Ill try to round up some more, but im looking to go in about two weeks.

What time were you planning on leaving? I probably won't be home from work till about 7:30pm.

How long's the drive down there?

MIR is about 50 miles from the Washington D.C. area. According to mapquest (which never fails me! lol ) its like 48 miles from my campus. And I dont exactly remember the directions I followed the last time I went. But depending on which weekend we go I wouldn't be able to leave until 8pm because of work. The 26th of Sept. would be good. Again, I'm pretty sure I didnt even get down there until after 9 or so the last time I went, but you end up staying late. Check the website, Friday nights are called something like "midnite madness" and the eliminations dont even begin until 10pm or something.

But gaseous, if you can't leave until 7:30 or little bit later I'll wait and drive down with you. Depending on how many ppl we get, we can just sorta split the group up and head down.

Yeah gates open @ 6:30, and eliminations are @10 i think. But so far it is me, aceman from this site and his friend with an RX-8. We are either looking at friday the 19th or the 26th.

Cool, I wouldn't mind meeting up with people to head down there. I can probably get home around 6:30pm and leave then to meet everyone else.

Which campus are you going to? Would that be a good location to meet up and caravan from?

Im at AU, so right near Mass Ave. Union station, rosslyn, any place would be fine to meet up.


The 26th would probably be the best day for me too. Rob if that day is good with you all too, we should plan for that day. What time do you think you all are gonna head down there?

Yeah I guess the 26th is fine, i was actually thinking of going the 19th, but I guess i can hold off another week. I live in VA, and I will prob. be down there at 6. So if you guys wanna come down later ill just see u in there.

Hey the 26th is not open for public use, it is a professional race circuit that day.
The only days that we can go is next Friday the 12th, or Friday the 19th. So it is up too you guys because I can go whenever, let me know.

I can do the 12th. I have a project for class due the 11th so that works out.

I can do either the 12th or 19th. Whichever you all pick.

Im at AU, right near Mass ave. I live on campus, so thats pretty much where I live now..even though I do go home (VA) every now and then for GOOD food...lol

btw, are you going to come on the 12th for MIR? It should be fun, the drive down there plus the racing.
