http://www.washingtonautoshow.com/as...07CA71AF2B.jpg http://www.washingtonautoshow.com/as...427206BA7C.jpg I'm planning to hit it up early in the morning on Saturday (the 7th) before all the big crowds start to gather at night. We can meet up before hand and Metro it up! Agenda: Make sure to eat something before you meet because the food there is hella expensive!!! - Washington Auto Show pre-meet @ 11am (Location: Dunn Loring Metro Station, no Asian time!) - Go to the show, meet everyone else there (@ 12'ish, front entrance) - Leave at around 5:30pm when it starts getting super duper crowded, metro it back - Grab some food!!! (everyone should be starving by now, and No, I'm not trying to pay $4 for a friggen hot dog at the Auto Show... and yes I'm cheap) |
Im down.

Vida Guerra's coming as one of the celebrity guests on Wed-Th from 6-8pm so I might sneak down after work and check it out. Can't go on Saturday [work]:(, but I hate the huge crowds as well.
Anyone know if Driven1 is repping Nissan again this year?? |

Very happy to attend the event and make a day out of it, but nothing too exciting.
I hate to say it but honestly GM had the coolest stuff. The new CTS-V with the air bladder adjustable bolstered recaros was badass - def try them out if you go. I got to get in a ZR1 for the first time and see the Converj concept. Hyundai did show off a tricked out version of their new Genisis coupe. Everything else you could see at the dulles autopark, minus a few classics and exotics from supporting companies participating in the event like shops and used car dealers. For the Nissan fans, the public cannot even get access to the 370z, its up on stage along with the GTR. BMW didn't roll out a single M car. Companies like Porsche, Range Rover, and Jaguar didn't even show up. Lots of GREEN cars was the theme and I did see the Volt in person for the first time. The Tesla electric and Fisker hybrid sports cars were interesting for sure. Even the rednecks were showing off how they do fuel efficient cars. - LINK - |

^ lol, well everything that is on display is on the WAS website, not too much of a secret. Just kinda telling you my favs. I hate to say it but after attending the Detroit auto show, the WAS is kinda a snooze in comparison -- that really ruined it for me. Every company rolls out 2 or more concepts, their full line up, lots of performance cars, one offs, tons of interactive exhibits and events for show goers. The entire city really centers around the event for a week with people from all over the world coming to town.

i should be down
|
Well like I said, I'm going tonite to avoid the unwashed masses on Sat-Sun so if anyone wants to meet up let me know before 6pm!
