Hello all...just wondering if anyone will be running this year. If so, I'd like to hear your thoughts on a couple of things:
- what class are you in
- what tires are you running
- best place for alignments (including toe)
- where'd you buy your gear
TIA -

I'm going out for the first time ever on sunday. Eeeek I'm scared. I'll be doing one here in VA at a place called Verona. I think I'm entering STU class. Again it is my first experience with auto x.

Today I'm installing my test pipes and exhaust so IIRC, this will bumped up to a different class.
I'm still waiting for my helmet to come in as well. I ordered last week...$80 shipped!

BS is your class only if you have minor modifications or the car is otherwise stock. Beyond that, it depends on your mods .. even down to your tire choice.
I believe test pips bumps you straight into SM Good luck with that ... lol

I went to the WDC SCCA last year twice. Ran in SM2 which is a tough class around here. I likely could have gotten away with BSP (B street prepared). They are a friendly bunch but are serious about their autoX. Probably won't do it this year as it is too slow for my taste. Also, had trouble finding the course! What a pain in the a$$!. I can see how if you were into it, you could learn a lot that would help you go fast on a track though. I think it is a natural progression from autoX to PDX to club trials to club racing if you want to go that far. I just want to have some fun and not worry about the law getting involved.

So far it's another Z and myself, 6 or 7 RX-8's and a 1989 911 for BS class. Is this person on here?
Helmet finally came in (w00t).
I'm shopping for tires right now...I have a feeling that after Sunday I'll need new tires. :P My front tires are 2/32 right now. DOH!
