Well that was an unnecessary comment.

It was either that, or buy a whole new hood from Stillen and try to paint match 5 year old LeMans sunset paint that tends to fade significantly over the years.

Function over form my friend.

Thanks!

No big deal though, i've got thick skin! lol

On a similar note though, there were alot of "comments" going around this meet for some reason. I guess people didn't realize Cami was sitting in the car with the windows down reading as they were making said comments, lol. I was really surprised because this is usually a pretty respectful bunch!

looks sweet, I've there a few times. I've got family in Gloucester.

nosurf2day 11-09-2009 01:17 PM

Hey guys, I was just curious about your feelings on really modded cars. I noticed that pretty much all the cars pictured on this post are pretty much mild and from experience living in Orlando, some clubs prefer people with seriously modded cars not coming around. They feel that the cars should not be messed with and that we weren't welcome.

Is this group that type of group? My car is VERY modded and I honestly would rather not be around that type of group.

my350isblack 11-09-2009 01:43 PM

not at all nosurf. Everyone is welcome.

+10000

I think it's a regional thing. I noticed the same thing when i was in the Navy. Most people from deep south and out west were into really modding their car. One thing i have noticed about around here (Espicailly Northern VA) is that people tend to build more of a "sleeper performance based car" with more emphesis on perfomance then "bling". I think alot of that stems from the horrible roads around here. A slam and body kit just isn't practical around here for everyday driving. Obvioulsy you have both judging from your signature and pictures.

In the end, do what makes you happy!! We're all at different stages in our life, so our priorities wiht our hobbies may differ. But we all enjoy cars, and getting together, that's what really matters!!

paposalsa 11-09-2009 04:53 PM

I do it for the Love of the cars. Everyone has their different taste, money and opinions on modding their cars.

But we are NOT Honda guys, everyone is welcome here!!!
