Need help on who to go to for my F/I tuning in Maryland

So ive finally got the money and I'm set on doing the Uprev Osiris route and get my Turbo 350z. The only thing is I'm not sure where is the best place to take it to get it tuned. I live in. Bel Air, Maryland and I've heard people reference places like MA Motorsports, and Hills garage... But I was hoping you guys could give me better insight as to the best place for the money/service

Hill's garage is the best nissan/ infiniti shop in the area by far. JE import performance will quote you one price then charge you a completely different amount. Just out of curiosity what turbo kit do you have on your car?

hills for sure

DarkKnight~350z 03-09-2012 05:31 PM

Yea, ive heard bad things about Hw. And i have a T-series Turbonetics

DarkKnight~350z 03-09-2012 05:33 PM

Sorry meant JE*

DarkKnight~350z 03-09-2012 06:40 PM

I believe Hills said they can squeeze me in next friday. Thanks guys, ill go there

Hills hands down the best.

Mike Anthony 03-11-2012 07:44 PM

How much does an UpRev tune on NA usually run at Hills?

DarkKnight~350z 03-11-2012 07:59 PM

I was told $1050, But I'm not sure about the n/a :dunno:. They're really friendly and helpful with any questions. 410-636-5554

It's around 600-700 $ for an n/a tune in hills garage I guess.

Mike Anthony 03-12-2012 06:29 AM

That includes the software license, install, and the dyno time I believe. I believe its cheaper if you already have the Software.

Mike Anthony 03-12-2012 06:52 AM

I already have the software (uprev cord). AAM tuned it once already and botched the whole damn thing; them they "lost" my stock cats. *******s. I will never set foot in that place again.

I've also had throttle response issues ever since they touched my car. I hope Hills can get me a good tune and whatnot.

It was a while back but I'm fairly certain they replied to my email saying it was $125 an hour.

If you already have osiris on your ECU then your 'retune' will be around $300 cheaper... e.g. $350-$450 out the door. The license for Osiris itself is $300 of the price not including cable...

DarkKnight~350z 03-12-2012 07:33 AM

Now I'm just curious if i should get the Osiris Tuner instead of just the program. I kinda want the actual separate management

The only difference is with tuner (aside from being far more expensive) is that you can tune yourself. If you're going to Hills there's no point because they will lock the tune anyways.

If you want to do logging and diagnostics you can get a cipher cable cheap and it will work with any license.

DarkKnight~350z 03-12-2012 10:13 AM

Gotcha. Ill just stick with the $300 then. Thanks

Mike Anthony 03-12-2012 11:44 AM

AAM charged me $700 for Osiris, and $600 for a tune. Gah....

I can handle $300 for a re-tune from Hills.

Call J tune performance in Wilmington and talk to Hok, I've talked to him before/ seen some of his work and he's a very competent tuner

I realize we are a little behind on this thread, but I don't type my name in the search too often or have time to follow up with the Mid-Atlantic posts every day. We charge $825 for an N/A tune with UpRev and just until recently we were charging the same price for a FI tune.

We average almost one Z &/or G a week. Dyno time would not be added to an invoice without speaking with the customer about an issue we came across during tuning with the setup. If you have any questions you can always feel free to pm or contact me at the shop.
