Default A shop for clutch/flywheel kit installation

Hello Mid-Atlantic members.
My clutch is starting to go, and am trying to order a JWT flywheel/clutch kit within this week. I was wondering if any of you know a dependable shop for the job. I live in MD about half way between Baltimore and D.C., so if you know any good place around, please let me know.

Also any tips on ordering the kit? Looks like the vendors have the kit for around $775.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Do it yourself. I've never done it, but I will attempt it when needed. There is a How To on this forum. If your half retarded you should still be able to do it.

Thank you very much for the input guys. I've been doing most of the maintenance work on my car myself.. So I did consider DIY but this is a drive train work that can directly affect the car's performance/safety/drivability etc.. so without the proper tools and experience, I decided to take it to a shop.

Thank you for suggestion. By any chance do you know how much they normally charge for the work? I'll need the clutch/flywheel/clutch line replaced.

I got mine done at Hills garage, They installed the Flywheel clutch and line + replaced my fluid. They did a great job and made sure every little thing I forgot got replaced. I would highly recommend.

I did mine myself with the help of the posts on this page and youtube. Only speacial tools you will need is a impact wench, Tork wrench. and a pilot bearing remover. Just bag and mark the bolts. Have to lift the front end up high enough to pull the transmission out. really don't even have to pull it out just more room. if your going to change out the flywheel make sure you mark the old one and put the new on the same way.
