Do you have the turbo kit on there now? Otherwise this smells fishy.

This story might be true, but I have found that kill stories like these come from people with under 20 posts.

Peace

Need to take a laxative?

You ever think people are saying the things they say is because your story is not very believable....

Yah..
Race gas made such a huge difference

Race gas is not going to do anything for a car on stock compression, and stock spark/fuel tuning, except burn up your O2 sensors quicker. Additionally if its leaded you'll foul your cats. If you are running race gas in your car, you're wasting money.

No comments on the race. Not getting in the middle of that bee's nest.

If you're interested in saving money, I'd suggest you skip the race gas next time. If you want to be 100% sure that it's not necessary have the car scanned and run with a wideband O2 sensor next time you have it dyno'd. If you're not running lean and you have no knock retard throughout the WOT runs on pump gas then anything more is a waste of money.

If you'd like to read up on the subject in depth...

As for you BD... (Your car may be fast, but it's sure FUGLY.)

I was just talking to my friend and he said that I should expect ignoramouses like you to flame. I bet you wouldn't even believe my friend's timeslip of 11.78 @ 121 mph in a 97 Eclipse (modded of course, but still a 4 banger) and that he beat a lingenfelter corvette. But I can only control my intelligence, not yours.

I don't guess you've seen the Rippie Motorsports Vette vs DSM video then....and for the record you aren't driving a DSM so don't bring it into the conversation.

All i have for your story is a nice chuckle......thanks for the laugh

When did this thread turn into a DSM vs. LPE C5 debate? DSM's rule though, so long as they're of the turbo AWD variety. Your friend sounds like he has a sick car, and one that could actually benefit from race gas.

Oh yeah, I have a hard time with the idea that the 4G63 is "still a 4 banger" - that's like calling the 2JZ "just a six pot".
