Default 350z vs New Maxima

has anyone had a chance to race the New Maxima by any chance?
I've been wanting to because their specs are scary.

For a Sedan? 265 horsepower is a Sh*t load of power and i remember driving the older 3.0 maxima's and those suckers would respond quickly

Don't worry about the '04 Maximas. It is the '02-'03 6 speed Maximas that are the fastest. They are low 14 stock and a intake, udp away from high 13s. The success of those Maximas are the 3200lbs with 255hp.

Remember, the world is not only made up of straight lines!

Yeah, I got a buddy with one. I said "go whenever" and he punched it. I hit it right after him. It was very even until we went around a corner and I passed him like he was standing still because the Max's handling sucks comparatively. His was an '02 Max.

Basically it boils down to a drivers race.

Yeah I have both dont get caught sleeping on an 02/03 they pull and pull almost as good as the 350, but the 04 is a tad slower due to the weight. Some guys are running very low 14's with manuals and mid 14's stock with the automatics. And to add to Maximan when they dynoed the 02/03 they were putting out more torque than Nissan claimed from the factory. Maxima.org has alot of info on them. Way to spot one from an 00/01 is silver rear lights, HID's, side skirts, huge Nissan hamburger logo up front and blockier front end.

More like high 14s with the auto 255hp. I use to own one and my Z pulls harder. There is no way a stock 255hp 6sp could beat me. I raced a 6sp Z(CAI) and beat him by 2car lengths.

Nope some 6spds are running very low 14's(like Maximann said some with light mods have dipped into the high 13's) and they have the timeslips to prove it at the org and auto mid 14's. I ran a 14.60 in my stock 03 auto(some guys got a tad lower) and ran 14.10 in the 350 auto I have the timeslips someplace around here,we never said beat you we said dont get caught snoozing on one!
