Wow, sorry about the cam that freaking sucks although you were really lucky no other real damage was done.

Which cams do you have? Are those injectors P&P? Did you need any supporting mods for them?

Cooling is obviously a big consideration on an engine that can run hot. For those interested, I have taken out the OEM engine bay trim in favor of a low profile engine bay trim that just covers the metal guides.

I used this on my TT after viewing data showing engine bay temp decreases of 18 deg F! It protects the engine bay from weather still, allows the hot air to escape, and makes the growl a little louder, too.

enkei raijins are orgasmic lol
I love the cuscos, but your figuration appears to be track oriented
you should've gone with more adjustable sways like hotchkis
however I admire your choice, cusco sways rock, great going

The 1.8T's tubular exhaust manifold can be seen just behind and below the silver charge pipe on the right. Although the SGs are thermal coated, they lack heat shields and the engine bay gives off a ton of heat near the firewall as well. The built VQ hugged by the SG long tubes also cool off EXTREMELY slow, which emulates the principles of a turbo timer, no? A slow cool down? Either way, JMccarty had a turbo timer in his NA build. Food for thought.

High tech. Check out the dirt lines from the old engine bay trim. There is a good 2" of clearance, behind the engine at the windshield cowl.

ITBs are really the next step. I just need to make sure it's done right. ITB kit, proper fueling, capable ECU. UpRev comes up a bit short in that respect. I would have to look at MoTeC, Haltech, or AEM's new standalone for the processing power to allow those ITBs to run smoothly.
