If 18 others sign up for them in a group buy bringing them down to 1200-1400...then maybe...
Other than that, NO!
Only so many ways to design equal length headers because each design will still be equal length! I think my PPE will hold me over, again if this was pushed three years ago though I'd be all over them.

from what Sasha said before in his thread, he found 13whp from going with larger pipe but sacrified the lower end power..
there werent PPE header but similar type of header
the stepped PPE are 1 5/8'' to 1 3/4'' , the transition on my set start at 2 1/8''
the production SGM header are 1 3/4'' to 1 7/8'' the transition if I remember correctly was 2 1/4 to 2 1/2
so, right there a good cam will make more jam from mid to high RPM than the PPE header if the whole setup is sized properly ( intake size & the rest of the exhaust.)
the 13whps from the Sasha's finding looks very plausibe.

Yes, I was doing research on PPE lth at that time as well. When I was told PPE will mark up the price to $1,300 early of 2013, I have to hurry up placing the order to get the lower price. The group buy people were so lucky to buy the PPE for a steal price.
Since PPE has raised their price to $1,300, which might help some people to consider to buy the SG lth for the quality and extra gain in performace for track or extreme NA setup. Personally, I would buy the SG lth over PPE even though the price different $2,200 vs 1,300 is $900.

I have been followed SGM Sasha built NA VQ35DE for sometime. From what I remember, Sasha was running really huge and extreme CAMS design by JWT, a very well respect company in Nissan community. The CAMS were C9 with approximately 13mm of lift on both intake and exhaust. That is how Sasha able to force more air in the intake and breath more out from the exhaust to extract more power. Sasha did even try the C10 cams on exhaust side, but they did not improve power, so he kept the C9. The SGM lth were design to channel exhaust gas from those huge cams to make that incredible 372 whp seconds behind Fontana 350Z with 470 whp. So, i have no doubt SGM Sasha lth design and flow better than PPE lth for the HR in term of performance.
