SG Longtubes are back.
I have been talking with Sasha Anis who developed the SG longtubes and he has passed along the jig for production of these headers to Centerline Motorsports in Brampton Ontario Canada. Meanwhile Sasha is starting a new venture called ONPOINT DYNO.
The contact is Rene Rebello. I emailed him this morning about starting up production. http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com/?page_id=511 The cost is as before. $2200 Canadian Dollars. Just two deposits of $1100 is needed to get these started back up. I know I am really thinking about getting these as I am swapping the SGM built motor into my car in the spring. Any other takers? |
$2k is alot of money for headers...
|
So you are interested? Or just complaining for no reason?
|
What are dimensions of the primaries in inches please.
|
Yea some specs would be nice
|
Man, weak US dollar ftl. Bring back exchange rates of 10 years ago and it's a deal.
|
I hope someone steps up and jumps on board the SG train with you Mike.
It's great to hear that this product is being reborn in the town that I grew up in:thumbup: |
I have been waiting for this to happen because I didn't want to commit $1200 to headers of a different brand. Can you pm me more info please. Need a set to go with the aasco/tilton set up.
|
Not posting to bish. I would love a set. However FML
|
from what I remember his step long tube header for the public was with;
primary 1 3/4 secondary 1 7/8 collector 2'' to 2.5'' im not sure if Sasha had a transition with this .. its been a long time I havent look at them |
So it's only for the DE?
Good luck, I would of jumped on this before the PPE and 3 years ago...tell Sasha good luck on his new venture and that he has a lot of dead threads on here! |
I know Sasha plans to use his set on his new HR motor otherwise I'm sure he'd sell his set to me? Dont know if thats a proven application or not?
With technical questions just email Rene at sales@centerlinemotorsports.com. I dont work there. don't represent them. I'm not a technical expert. Just saying I've seen these in action and I want a set. So if one other person is willing to commit production will probably step back up. I put this in the NA builds section because people serious about an NA build will be the ones to get these. These would probably also devestate in a supercharged set up. To put a deposit down visit the website and/ or call. I imagine it's as simple as leaving your CC #. |
I would be interested in different piping for my existing set, if it complemented ITBs better.
|
Son of a *****, just too rich for my blood.
I would kill to have these, have to add shipping on top of the $2200, just too much, maybe enough interest would drive down the price a little |

I'm not going into something that has no HR data of improved performance.
When I see H.P. increase, or better yet an H.R. that is quick at the drag strip, I'll consider them. That's not to discourage anyone. After all, how will I find out the performance of them:) |
^^^
buy them yourself, since seeing is believing for you? |
3 years ago there was so much interest for these and when he came out with them, maybe 2 people bought them. Why would now be any different?

Why should I spend a year's worth of stripper money, then find out that my car is now slower. Then I got to spend more money, time & aggravation putting the old system back on. You do it :)
gain has been proven on non-rev and rev-up engine.. there is no reason why an HR wouldnt gain from these. HR headers arent much better than the previous DE headers. so right there, those SGM are a BIG improvement over what you might have (oem header or stillen crap shorty header....) the basic of airflow is the same in any engine. I understand you have a hard time to be willing to drop the $$ on those.. the HR heads has been much improved from the DE. twin Throttle body in the mix . all you need is a proper headers setup then ofcourse a good flowing exhaust. anyway im not here to push you at buying those headers. it is just because people tend to forget the basic of how NA power is gained. edit; anyway I dont recall ever seen someone with the HR having those ,, so they might not fit (steering joint as an example) |
