Can't wait any longer for my Z

I'm getting desperate... I ordered a Blue Roadster in September (with side air bags) and I have been soooo patiently waiting for it to come to Florida from Japan...I thought it would be here by Christmas, now the dealer says the first week of January. I enjoy reading this forum...however my patience is really getting tested :icon11:
I have wanted a Z ever since I could drive - Datsun still slips out when I talk about it...
Just wanted to get this off my chest...
Thanks and any ideas or suggestions on how to handle this would be helpful :(

I know how you feel. I ordered my 06 in Oct and the ETA is Jan 31. The waiting sux even though I already have a Z right now. LOL! :D

You guys do realize there are plenty of '06 Z's available in the U.S. right?

TYntema Nov 22, 2005 10:14 AM

I was really wanting a blue, manual with side air bags - not just any Z would do...:icon44:

Not in Georgia, sliver, white, and Interlagos Fire, and if you want a blue one it will cost 500-1000 for delivery and this is just for a coupe, i have do clue about the roadster. Hope you get your car soon

Same boat here. Ordered in October with delivery expected late January.

And, yes, there are Zs around but I'd rather wait and get EXACTLY what I want rather than be impatient and settle for less.

Normal; just have a scotch & enjoy the anticipation of getting EXACTLY what you want.

I got lucky.. I wanted an '06 Grand Touring in Silverstone, 6MT, no navigation. My dealer was able to locate one that was in the process of being shipped to another state from Japan, and they redirected the shipment for me since it wasn't being ordered for someone (just dealer inventory). I got it in 2 weeks. But I feel your pain - that was a LONG two weeks.

I feel your pain. I would not compromise on color so I'm waiting on my 06 Enthusiast Lemans Sunset ordered mid-Oct. Still waiting. I call my salesman every 2 weeks to see if he has heard anything... he just says 'it was ordered..' They say Jan. at the latest - hoping to have it by Christmas.. Praying to have it by Christmas.. Sacrificing virgins for it's arrival by Christmas. ;)

Now I know why I'm waiting so long! All you guys ordered one the same time I did!

I can't wait either. I have lost slept over drooling over my car. And the worst thing is, by the time it is ready to be delivered to me...I can't drive it. I refuse to allow my baby to come in contact with salted roads.

Ahhhhhh, almost here.

I was waiting to see an '06 until I decided. I drove by the dealer's lot one day
(11/5) and there it was. I didn't even tell the wife, I just drove it home!

Bboy Hustler Nov 22, 2005 05:54 PM

I Feel for you, i had to wait 3 months for my Z to arrive from Japan,

I dont know whether this was true or not but my dealer told me that my 05 Anniversary was one of the last ones built..??

Just keep reading and stay patient!!

So waiting tests your patience? Wait until you get the Z, and have to endure the break-in period. Now that’s a test of patience. :)

Same here. Depending on the road conditions when I get it - I may hire a flatbed towtruck to take it home.

yes im not sure how im going to take it easy while its in the brake-in period, but the thing that gets me is this.. im sure other people haved abuse the car a lile while on a test drive.. so if the car has some miles on it when you buy it most likely it has seen high rpms...

but when i get mine i will get it below 4k like i belive it says.....
