Default Finally bit the bullet and bought a Z

So Ive been lurking for awhile and reading things here and there on your site educating myself about the 350Z and its potential when properly built and tuned. I work for nissan but we only know how to fix it when it comes in messed up and most of the guys in my shop could care less about making a modern day car perform. There all about the old school muscle and stuff which is fine.

My addiction for the Z came when I worked on my first one after a week and a half at the dealership. All I was doing was replacing the rear glove box door and the top trim piece that surrounds the brake light on the rear hatch because it was drooping but from the moment that I sat in it the so called "Z fever" hit me hard.

Its been about 2 months now since I started working and I finally decided to trade my car, a 05 Sentra SE-R Spec V, which had almost every nismo part on it and a couple of A'pexi and other bits here and there.

They gave me 10600 for my sentra which was only worth 8500 by KBB but because of the parts on it they were willing to give me more since they said they could stick a Stune badge on it and sell it for a higher price.

After that we walked over and looked at a used Enthusiast 350Z M/T in Silver (I think thats what my color is called, its not the darker silverstone). I really wanted a new 06 enthusiast in blue with a M/T but they couldnt find one local in florida and I would be squeezed real tight for payments every month on it.

So we haggled on the used one and got it down to 26500 out the door with 7k financing that will drop back down to 6.1 after I make one year of payments on teh car.

I think I got a good deal with my VPP discount for working for nissan (albeit its the smallest one but every bit helps) and the fact that they gave me almost 5k off on everything worked too.

Im pretty sure I got a good deal, if not let me know, cant do anything to correct it now but at least Ill know for next time whenever that might be.

BTW: pixors for your viewing pleasure.

btw, just a couple of quick questions to get me going here on the board.

Do yall have a thread that lists most major websites that sell parts for the Z and are reputable and trustworthy on customer service? Ive seen the carbon fiber pillar covers and LED front marker lights and Id like to buy some.

Also, I dont think it can be done but is there any way to retrofit the new LED tailights to the 05 and b4 or are you stuck with what you got without going thru a headache to wire them in.

And last but not least, can the turn bulbs in the front headlight housing be swapped for the blue hue looking Sylvania Silverstars, I was looking in the manual and it said that the bulb size is a T20 and Im wondering if thats one they sell or if its a bulb setup similar to the headlights on a altima.

Yes you can put the LED tails on it.

Why go with Sylvania? Street Glow is a lot better.
