Don't be Shy - Say Hello - Make me feel Loved!!!

Hi there!

I'm Geoff from England (that's part of the United Kingdom, Europe, not the USA).

I'm on my second Z now - the first was an '03 model in Gunmetal Grey (as we call it) and my newer one is a September '06 in Ebisu Black (as we call it!).

The new black one has Nismo LMGT4's, light smoke window tints, a JWT popcharger, a stubby aerial, Infinity Kappa speakers, hydraulic hood lifters and a few other little bits & bobs.

So I'm not exactly a new owner, but I'm new to here - I am in fact a moderator on the UK owners' club - http://350zUKownersclub.com

I think I signed up over here a couple of years ago, but I got so involved in the UK club that I never really looked here much - boy do I wish I had done - This community is really thriving, with so many lovely cars and new ideas! It's like Z-Heaven!!!

Question 1 - How do I get to add a signature pic under each post? I tried but it won't let me.

Question 2 - How do I get to use my own avatar pic? - Once again I tried but failed! Do you have to make a certain number of posts before you can do these things? I posted these Q's to admin but haven't got a reply yet.

Finally - here are a couple of pics of my Z's, past & present - I haven't taken a really good one of my black car yet, but I shall!

Please say hello to me and make me feel welcome!

Geoff

Always nice to hear from those on the other side of the "pond", Geoff.

That first pic is really slick.

Welcome to the "club"! :D

welcome to the american Z club

love that first pic, very cool (i think i'll steal it cause my Z is silverstone)

sorry can't help you with the questions, would like to know myself.

Mr Chubbs Jun 21, 2007 10:21 AM

Thanks for the welcome guys - That first pic was taken in a multi-storey car park. I remember having to jump out of the car, run up to the next level, take the photo and then run back down again before another car came along!! Photography can be good exercise!

Hello! Welcome and I'm sure you can add a lot here.

To be able to put your own personal avatar in, you need to become a 'premier member' which means paying about $30/year or some such thing. There are some other benefits as well. The personal avatars of those that aren't premier members were placed long ago before there was such a thing as 'premier' members.

I don't know why you can't make a personal signature line. Should be able to.

Thanks for the pics!

Thanks for that mate - When I asked about a personal sig, I meant adding a picture at the base of my posts, rather than a line of text - It won't let me add a pic, but I suppose that's a premier member's priviledge too?

Looks like I'm gona have to sell my body again to raise the $30 :)

You are a brave man if you drive in London, My sister just moved to a new flat in Hackney (sp?). She has lived in London for the last 6 or 7 years. I must say I love your country great people, i visit every chance i get. Just wish is was cheeper :icon43: . Her last flat was further out of the city, but i still couldn't imagin driving over there. Welcome to the forum, this is so cool that your in the UK, My sister says she has never seen a 350Z (but then again she isn't in to cars) anyway welcome to the forms and Great pic's

Cheers

Kevin

Hi Kevin - Yes, the South East of England, where London is, has plenty of traffic, but you get used to it (and you did spell Hackney right!). When you eventually find a piece of open road it make the Z experience all the more exhilerating :p And of course, if you have to sit in traffic, what better car to be in than the Z - soaking up all those envious sideways glances :icon17:

Z's aren't common over here, which is another thing that makes them so special - they are total head-turners, just as they are in the USA, down to the looks and the beeeeeeeeeeautiful sound

Thanks for that Vokal - I'll try it.

...and sorry to NismoZ350 - on reflection, it was a bit rude and unnecessary, wasn't it :icon9: Most americans know where the UK is, but I must say that I've chatted to quite a few who think that UK is one of the United States and ask me which state it is - that's why I typed what I did.

z3gga Jun 22, 2007 07:57 AM

I'll be honest with you mate, I photochopped the tones of that pic to make the wheels even sexier. But I still love those LMGT4's

Welcome from another ruby red passport holder and congratZ on your 2nd Z Geoff. You might know one of your Zclub UK guys that came along to one of our meets in NZ in February. Handel is his name. Funnily enough I was having a noisy though the Zclub UK forum last night, not had a look in a week or so. :)
