Default Hello everyone, I just won an auction for my first Z!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=170225946055

been scouring the internet for a couple months and finally landed a Z that I was comfortable in buying.
looked at many used 03-06.
had an opp. to get a 06 redline touring with 9k miles for 2k more then what i paid for the 05. but i liked the daytona blue and the extended warranty.

please feel free to give me any advice or comment on if i made a great purchase for the price paid.

thanks again.

I have a question if anyone is a expert in finance.

The seller does not own the vehicle. He has a loan through a bank. So how does this work? I pay him and he pays the bank? and then the bank sends him the title and he transfers the title to me?
is there a quicker process, cause seems like it will take a couple weeks before i get the car with me giving the cash up first.

Good choice. I've got the same model/color/year. For the time that I've been on this board, the '05 gets the least complaints of problems. Nice warranty. Welcome.

Congrats!

As far as the sale goes, his bank & your bank will be handling everything after you fill out all the paperwork. No check should be exchanged. It should be all handled electronically.

if the car is local go to the bank with the seller and take cash to pay off the loan. they should give the title to you. if you dont have cash it can take up to 15 days for the check to clear then the bank will release title to you.

so if i pay the bank directly and get the title. does that mean i can skip paying state tax for the purchase of the vehicle?

If Pennsylvania is like Indiana, you have to show proof of sales tax when you get your plates. If you haven't paid it, you pay it then. Nice try though

Deal reminds me almost to the dollar what I paid for an '03 in '05. I think
you did just fine. The leather seats are awesome, and you got an awesome
color.

Here you would have to have the title and proof of sale. Then you pay them for a title transfer and new carpeting in the lobby of the DMV and for lunch for all the lazy fat women working there and for your overdue library books from the third grade and ....

well from talking to the bank, i would pay citizens bank and then after 5 business days pa dmv will send the title to the original loan applicant, which is the seller, and then i'd have to get the title transfered.
so it doesnt look like i can do it all in one shot.

Congrats and welcome! Looks like you got a good deal for such low mileage & with a 7yr/100k warranty (and hopefully, it's really in perfect condition!).
