Default Should I Have The Dealer Redo This?

this might seem trivial to some of you 350Zers, but you know the little nameplate, sticky, rubber thing dealers put on new cars? the thing that has their dealerships name, they usually put on the rear somewhere?

well, mine is crooked. not by alot, but it will drive me crazy every time i look at it. and the top edge is high enough that last night, when i had the hatchback open, i put my hand down on the car, and when i pulled back i scraped my hand on the part of the nameplate that was sticking up too high.

should i let this go? or take it back and have them try again?

Mike

first off, i would tell them to take it off.

then again, i wouldn't have let them put it on the car

it was already on there when i took delivery of the car. didnt notice it until i got home and checked it out.

and i am not sure how to remove it. i pull on it slightly, but i think its stuck on there somehow, glued perhaps? i dont want to mess anything up on the 50.

I ALWAYS demand the dealers refrain from putting any markings on my car accept for license plate frames. If I were you I'd go back and say take it off!

PS- Inspect the job they do thoroughly before leaving.

stuck on there probably with double-sided tape try fishing line to break the seal. then try windex and a microfibre to take off the residue.

When I bought my Z I asked the dealer just how much they would be paying me monthly for advertising for them, he had a shocked look on his face & asked just WTF I meant. Needless to say when I picked up the Z there was nothing that had the dealers name.

If its vinyl just heat it up with a blow dryer and peel it off. If its an emblem just carefully pry on one end with a finger nail.
