New'ish' to the forum, recently picked up my Z
 

I picked up my 03 Z about a month ago. Funny thing is I wasn't really into the Z until I bought her.

For the past couple of years I really wanted a 98 240sx. Then it changed to an Evo IX, and damn, I couldn't afford it. I was gonna settle for an evo VIII, but I wanted to see my other options: rx7, s2k, blah blah blah. The Z was toward the bottom of the list.

I had a meeting with the Fleet manager at Mitsubishi in Costa Mesta, but I wanted to keep my options open. For some reason, I went to the Nissan right next to it, and haggled with the buddies at Nissan at an 03 touring ed. Z. One of the salesman made me drive it. As soon as I got sat inside and revved the engine, the idea of getting an Evo quickly vanished and the only thing I could think about was owning this Z.

After about six grueling hours of offers and paperwork, I was on my way home with my Z, Umi, which means ocean in Japanese (a strictly made Japanese car deserves a Japanese name). Now keep in mind, my friends all thought I was coming home with a completely different car, hell some of them didn't even know I was getting one that day.

I get to my friend's house, and my friends **** a brick. They couldn't believe it. This cute girl that I know runs out screaming with her boobs all jiggling in the air to hug me tight.

That's when I thought to myself...yeah I totally made the right decision.

-GAS...BOO
-car payments...BOO
-insurance for being a 19 year old male in CA...BOOOOOO
-being super paranoid of my car...BOO

-Props from the *****s...YEEEEEE (literally, this black dude in his benz gave me the nod of approval...you know you're cool when the black dude says you is!)
