What edition 350z do I have?
Hey guys,
Just trying to figure out what model 350z I have. It is a 2003, with Cloth seats, No Moon Roof (Don't even know if they came with them or not), 6 speed. Looks to me like I have a barebones model. I've read that they have a Touring edition, Performance edition, enthusiast..not sure what else..Trying to figure out which category I fall into. Can I tell by my VIN# and also I read they were made in this year with at least 1 other type of engine? How do I tell what engine I have? Also I was looking at my brakes, and do not see Brembo anywhere on the Calipers so I'm assuming I have non-brembo brakes. Sorry if these questions are stupid, just a newb trying to learn his 350z better.

these are questions you should have learned prior to purchasing - kind of a big variance in price between the models.
you did not give enough info to narrow it down 100%, do you have cruise control? you've ruled out pretty much all outside of base and enthusiast, but not enough info to eliminate the enthusiast yet.
all of this info is already on the forum, there's a great thread that explains all of the differences between the models. check out the top 100 questions thread, you will learn a lot about your car.

Well I bought it for $10,500 with 56k miles, so I think it was a good deal even if it was the cheapest model they had. All I know is it runs great and has never been hit. Have owned it for a year now, and I'm just now looking to find out exactly what I have lol..
Yes it does have Cruise control and a Traction control button. I believe I read somewhere that some models didnt come with Traction control? I'll take a picture right now, give me a few mins.

Could be an Enthusiast or Performance model. Did it come with 18" wheels? Tire Pressure Monitoring System?
People ask all the time, just like the OP, you, and this guy: https://my350z.com/forum/2003-2008-n...husiast-2.html
How y'all shop is beyond me, but so be it.
Gee, and I just wrote a reply to a similar question. Read it here

Yea looks to be enthusiast model I guess. Like I said, for the price I paid $10,500, not 15grand! I wasn't worried about whether I was getting a fully loaded model or not. I initially wanted the barebones model regardless to save on price, and I wanted 6 spd, and thats what I got. I think I got a good return for my money, if I was basing it off the cheapest model they had.
It does not come with Tire Pressure Monitoring system, it came with aftermarket 17" Konig rims on them, which I have since replaced with 19's.
I should have searched for further before starting the thread, but thank you anyways to the people who responded with helpful answers and advice. I've at least narrowed it down to 2 models. I will wisely use the search feature more patiently next time.

Welcome to the forum. CongratZ. Poor Z looks like it could do with a bit of love that the previous owner didn't give it. Some nice leather conditioner on the steering wheel, handbrake/ebrake & gear lever might help a bit.
