Hey guys, I just got my 06 roadster Friday night. I was a previous 2006 Mustang (V6) owner. I had been looking at convertible sports cars for awhile. I test drove a 04 Z4, '10 Miata, 08 Sky, 02 MR2 and looked at an S2000 and even an 01 Porsche Boxster. I finally decided upon the Z and it seems like I made the right choice so far.

For me I wanted a good blend of luxury and sports. I drive a LOT. (Long drive to work). The Z4 interior was just garbage. The Solstice drove like garbage. The Miata looked nice but was to slow. The Z was just right :P

I got the touring model with the upgraded bose system, leather heated seats 18" wheels. I actually opted for the auto trannny with tiptronics. From what I understand the performance difference between the tips and a manual is somewhat negligible. It was also encouraging to see that there were a few auto trannys in the 1/4 mile times thread.

Now I've read through the top 100 questions and done a lot of reading on different mods and stuff. Performance-wise I may do some mods in the future, but nothing right away. I am interested in some interior modifications though. Particularly some sort of LCD screen to go where the DVD Nav system normally goes. I don't really have a need for any sort of GPS, but some sort of MP3 touchscreen control type of idea might work. Not entirely sure yet.

I also need to get an alarm system installed with remote start. If anyone has any suggestions on brands to look at, let me know. I may look at getting a radar detector as well.

Oh one other thing, where is the love for the roadster version? It seems like almost everyone here has the coupe?!? Any other roadster owners here?!?
