Default 03 Z - FL to Philly: 11 hrs Bumpy ride

Picked up my 03 Z with Stage 3 Stillen Supercharger. Picked it up from FL and drove it straight home to philly in 11 hours only stopped for gas 3 times got about 25 mpg.

Car has some good upgrades already including Stillen sc with intercooler, Stillen catback exhaust and Stillen intake. I'm suprised with the amount of room for a 2 seater I'm 6'4 and still had plenty of room.

Only complaint I have for this car is the really bumpy ride. I can feel every little bump! I don't know if I'm so used to my 2 lexus's (is300 & rx330) or the 350z just have really rough ride.

Anyone have any suggestions to improve the ride? (tires are new)
What brand makes good shocks for the 350z?

It is a 03 touring with oem suspension

Also looking into a coilover kit with a softer ride any suggestions there?

coming from a lexus, check out the blistien pss 9/10 coilovers. really nice ride.

but in general the Z's ride is not meant to be soft and smooth, its stiff from the get go,the rough ride you are feeling is normal my friend.

350Z suspension is what it is. Never seen a vendor advertise

Want the Buick feel for your Z?

Vendors tend to keep suspension parts on the down low. Password protected
on some sites.

JK congrats on your Z and welcome

Anyways, congrats on the pick up and enjoy the car. As for suspenion, OEM wasnt that bad, for me at least. Goodluck if you decided to go with aftermarket lol

I did enough research to realize what I paid for this car is way less than a 2003 350z stock. It is manual and would get walked around by my trans am with spray. For only owning it for a week it's fine if I see being to slow I'll go TT.

well its good to hear its a manual, u get a +1..and if u got a good deal thats good which i hope u did, and on the trans am i bet that the trans am would beat it without the spray im saying and yes u will end up wanting to go TT because the stillen power is gonna get old real fast for u i would bet especially siince u really have no room to grow with the stillen kit..any dyno numbers for it from the previous owner?

Don't worry about these guys. Some people have to have all out ***** to the wall HP all the time, and anyone that didn't follow in their footsteps is F'd up! I've learned it's wrong for Stillen FI owners to to even associate with those that have higher performance FI kits apparently.

You hit it right on the money! You got a used FI Z, for less then the price of a NA Z, how could you loose? So what if it doesn't make 400WHP, enjoy getting 100,000 miles plus out of your stock block!
