just bought me a new 350z :D

Just bought a 2005 350z. Im really new to the whole 350z just figuring out tuning it cost kinda alot lol. This is my first 350z before this I ahd a scion tc that I loved but I got in a bad car accident in it got total :(...

So now I have a 2005 350z it has 70k miles just bought it tuesday, So far its a really fun car. I need to get some new rims and I still whant to put some extra's in it.

Also is there any way to get better MPG so far today i get about 17-22 in town and 26-30 on highway just varies kinda alot lol. And its says to use premium gas but gas now a days thats $4 for premium what will happen if I sue regular.

heres my 350z..

you know what, im just going to keep my mouth shut besides saying welcome.

Houston Z33 05-02-2012 06:08 PM

Lots of Texans hoppin' in Z's nowadays I see lol

DO NOT USE REGULAR GAS - You will screw the motor up... try and be careful - a 350Z is a far cry from your old tC.

Rip him/her up on post number 1 and they may never be back. :icon39:

I'll say this: If you are used to the running cost of your TC and did not research this car at all before picking it up, you are in for a rude awakening. The question about gas pretty much sums it up. If you are already hurting on gas alone, get out now. Do not use Regular only Supreme. I've said it before and I will say it again, going from Supreme to Regular at about a $ .20 difference per gallon savings, you will only save about $2-3 on a fill up for a full tank of gas, def not worth it when your car starts to run like shat.

I edited my second post for ya go back and read it. Not trying to be mean just real. The cost of the car went down enough for people to buy but not to own. You will be buying tires and brakes at a minimum every 2 years. It is a nice car and if you take care of it it will take care of you but cut corners and you will feel it literally.

Not being an *******, just being honest - just the thought of putting anything less then 93 octane in my Z makes me sick to my stomach. If I don't wash my car once a week I feel sleezy......like I haven't taken a shower in 48hrs sleezy.

350Z's may be getting cheaper to buy, that doesn't mean they are cars you can cheap out on. Leave that **** for the FWD's - You gotta keep it classy with Z's.

btushortie 05-02-2012 06:50 PM

Well the car has all new brakes and tires and headlights. I made sure what i was buying before i bought it I got a good deal on it. So thought Ill try something new. Gas isnt a big problem just hate spending money on gas..

Get used to it - It's not the fact that it gulps gas, it's just you can't keep your foot out of it.......at least that's my problem.
