It's official says the DMV

2005 350Z Enthusiasts auto/trans
3,668 miles

After driving my neighbor's Z for over a month we finally settled on a price to close the deal. Full story with pics is here. 3,000 mile Z

Just installed a Pioneer NEX 5100 and 2 Alpine speakers. One of the stock rear speakers was blown. I couldn't go another day without my iPod.

Due to the poor exterior treatment throughout the years, the Z will get a full repaint in the spring. And of course some new wheels and tires. So many choices. LOL

Thanks to all for your earlier tips and suggestions.

Refinish the paint with a good buff before running it with a repaint

Congrats!
You'll love the z for many years to come, I'm still enjoying mine after 11 years and I haven't changed a thing.

what did you get it for?

I highly doubt it needs painted.. what is making you think it does?

Congrats!

Congrats!

I was happy I got my 08 with 18 miles a few months ago. I can only imagine getting an 05 with 3k miles lol.

An '08 with 18 miles?

Pengu Oct 27, 2015 07:53 AM

Yeah I got it maybe 5 or 6 months ago with 18k. It has 26,010 on it right now. You interested?

bith8791 Oct 27, 2015 07:57 AM

I was when I thought it had 18 miles, not 18,000 miles.

Pengu Oct 27, 2015 08:11 AM

AH! I see the issue, I left out the "k" apologies.

bith8791 Oct 27, 2015 08:36 AM

No problem.
Already thinking about selling your '08?

MicVelo Oct 27, 2015 08:44 AM

Sonny, congrats, man, that's an awesome find. Your initial posts couple months back showed this was the predictable outcome. :icon17:

Now about that S30 of yours..... warm garage in California available. :icon21: :icon44:

Had it listed but my mind changed with Sasha said he'll have an HR mid mount kit out in the next couple of months. But everything is always for sale with the right price :D

Already tried that HR. It kind of worked but it still isn't up to my standard.

HRMoneyPit Oct 27, 2015 03:50 PM

You would be amazed what a pro can do with paint

travlee Oct 27, 2015 03:52 PM

on my z, i had swirls, etc... my buddy did a paint correction on it and i was flabbergasted.... needless to say he did the corvette when i bought it... this time i sealed it so it won't scratch as easy from day to day activities

Refinishing a 3k mile z with original paint... :icon14: I bought my 05 brand new and took care of the paint. It's still flawless after 37k miles, now protected under a full wrap. Unless your neighbor left it out in the sun all those years I wouldn't repaint it. Take it to a pro that can wet sand and polish it up.
