Picked this up today - 2008 Enthusiast, no mods except the spoiler.

I am switching from a 2002 Porsche Boxster to this one. I got started in lapping last through the PCA and got good and hooked. Figured the Porsche was too much $$$ for the maintenance and not enough top end potential.

It will be combination of weekend fun drive machine and track rat. I expect to do 10-15 HPDE days a year. Only initial mods planned are higher grip brake pads (leaning towards EBC yellow's) and high performance summer tires (leaning towards Direzza ZII Star Spec's). Probably an oil cooler as well.

As I get to be a better driver over the coming year's I'll do mods as required .

Any other thoughts or suggestions would be most welcome.

Welcome to the Z club. The Z is a fun car on the track. Seems more people are getting their Z's on the track now that it's a few years older and has a lot of aftermarket exposure.
