driving me nuts

I just bought a 2006 350 roadster car is immaculate has only 4100 miles on it The problem i have with it is that anything you touch with your nails on the center part of the dash and the inserts of the doors gets it scratched, and on top of that the plastic under the blackis white.Bad choice of colors .Anyway i just got back from the Nissan dealer and they said it was wear and tear .I could not believe what he said ,Then he said it was age . Does any body have any suggestions about this?Am i the only one that has this problem?

No but seriously, That's just one of the few downsides of owning this car. The interior scratches very easily. You can replace the parts that have scratches, and from that point on all you can do is be careful.

Removed mine and painted them. A little bit of work but no way around it. Maybe wrapping them

Really, two threads for this? If you had searched you would have found 100 discussions about this already.

Ah, that's why my post is gone...it's on the other "driving me nuts" post :icon43:

guess learning the ups and downs of the car before buying is not his strong point

I guess I just don't understand. When I was looking for a z, I saw a lot that were scratched up. The one I bought was fine, no scratches. I've managed to keep it that way in the 2 1/2 years I've owned the car. Maybe I got the anomaly.

They don't all have that problem - it's much worse in the newer cars.

Well, OP hasn't responded. Guess he didn't like what we had to say, or he took some advice.. I have the same problem(not really) with my '05. The interior has some minor scratches around the common touch areas; heater/fan/vent controls, door handles. I plan on just replacing with oem.. I've never liked the look of painted interior parts. I don't know, maybe it's because I just suck at doing it.
