what should I upgrade first?
Hello, I want to upgrade my car but not sure where to start and what parts to buy. Anyone interested in a car meet up or discussion?

Depends if you want a little more power or cosmetics. A lot of folks start with the head unit/radio. Lowering springs, hi flow cats or even driving school are all good choices.

I want to start with power. I also want to do it the right way so I'm not damaging my engine in any way. your idea of lowering the springs is something that I hadn't considered. Tell me more.

You can buy Eibach(or other brand) springs to use with stock or aftermarket shocks, lowering about an inch. Just get aligned after.
Power for the VQ isn't cheap.
Cold Air intake, upper plenum spacer, Hi flow cats, Cat back exhaust and tune will be over $1500 if you mix new and used parts. And you might end up around 280 hp.

You already have a great amount of power in a stock 350z. You don't need more for the street.
You will see a lot of noticeable improvement (handling and appearance) if you upgrade tires, wheels, and suspension.
Tires: Go with at least 245's front and 275's rear.
Wheels: Mount at least 9.5" wide wheels with 15 to 20 mm offset.
Suspension: Replace the shocks and springs. You can drop the car almost an inch without messing up the suspensions geometry. Even a drop of 3/4" looks much better.

Post your Z up, and I'll tell you what you should upgrade first right off the bat.
