Default Hi there, New 350z - for the ladyfriend

Hi,

I have a few fun cars, 2x Fully built GTR, a 712whp c7 stingray, viper project... some fun stuff.

Been seeing my GF for a little over a year, she enjoys the drag strip with my friends and I, for the past few months she's been telling me she wants to build a race car so she can participate more in my hobbies. She's been putting a little aside trying to budget for it (not a lot, she's working off some debt right now) I told her when she bought it I would help her build it, choose parts etc.

I managed to pick up a rebuilt title 2008 with a beat-to-**** veilside kit and an engine misfire yesterday. Checked it out at the shop, compression is good, coils and plugs all checked out - so I'm thinking it's the cats, or some silly sensor - but otherwise the HR motor is healthy. I feel like this is a good starter car for her (she loves the look of the 350z) - I have access to a body shop and full time mechanic, best friend - we're hoping to fix it up enough and surprise her. It doesn't have to be very quick - she wants to run 12's - So i figure FBO and tune could get her close, and that money she's been budgeting can go towards FI down the road once she gets the hang of it.

She demanded an auto, but she's a girl... so I'm cool with that. Otherwise I would have a problem with letting it go and not having another toy to throw away all of my income into.

Picked up this crap-box for $4500 - i feel like it gives me a bit to play with getting it back up to good condition. About to go outside and sew up the tear in the cloth seats.

I'm a fan of forums - they are super helpful, I wish I had found this place back when I had my 04 350z, even though I didnt hold onto it long.

At least the frame is straight - yes - those are wood screws and washers holding the fender flares on.

Here comes a transformation.
