Talking Need Advice on Mods

Super stoked to be a Z owner again. I had a TT 300 and a 350. I just picked up a 2005 350Z Convertible Touring for my son. Manual transmission w/ 84k miles. We are stoked and excited to mod the car together.

Looking for advice on the following:

Seats - should I recover the factory leather seats or just buy new racing seats? If recover, best option? If new seats, recommendations?
Suspension - I want to put coil overs on it, best bang for my buck? Best place to source them?
Exhaust - I want it to sound good, but not loud. Again, looking for best bang for my buck.
Wheels / Tires - 19" or 20"? Max/recommended tire size? What is the correct offset to put the wheels at the fender but not protrude or rub when lowered on coil overs?
Aero - Looking for a carbon fiber front lip spoiler and carbon fiber rear wing (I like low duck tail style), what are the best options for the convertible? Where is the best place to source them?
Center console - it's looking a bit worn around the shifter, radio, center gauge pod. Is this easy to remove, sand, and paint. Or is there a better option?

Any other recommended mods?

Feel free to text or email me if it's easier. I'm in San Diego, CA if anyone has parts they are looking to sell.

Thanks in advance for your help! Super stocked to get modding.

Matt

Congrats on the ZR! Check out this thread for some inspiration: https://my350z.com/forum/350z-roadst...pics-here.html

Aftermarket seats amd retaining the top functionality is possible with some "tweaks." But, it's not PnP.

Spoiler options are limited since the trunk lid is different than the hatch.

Not sure why you want coilovers unless you plan on taking it to the track.

18s and 19s are the most popular wheel choice.

Tha main question that needs to be answered is what are your goals or the purpose of the modifications? Only street? Auto-X? Dedicated track or occasional track car? That will determine the modifications.

Lots of good info on here. Post up some pics of the new Z!

I recommend choosing the wheels carefully so that you don't need spacers. If you want an authentic look, go for Rays. I like Titan 7 and Konig.
My favorite coilovers are from Fortune Auto. Best customer service in the industry hands down. you can enjoy the 500s, decent price. 510, 520 are for track. Black Friday coming up is a great time to get parts.
I run 275/35 tires on the front with 18x10.5 wheels. but that's not necessary for a street car. I would recommend 9-in or 9.5 with 265/35 rubber. The rears have a lot more leeway. you can go fat if you want. personally I would never go to 20-in. you have to run thin tires and lose adjustability.
there are carbon fiber consoles and other interior pieces available. check out Z1 and CZP.
