New Avic-F90BT installed
I installed the Avic-F90BT yesterday and here are some pics of it. I also added some pics of my 9500ix since I forgot to snap shots of that setup when I installed it...So far the deck is awesome. No complaints thus far.

That is sweet. Are you better off doing that, instead of just buying a Garmin and sticking it to your dash?
How much does that Nav / Radio cost w/ install (if you are having someone else do it?

i guess its more of a personal preference. I just don't want a nav system stuck to my dash or window. Kinda bulky. If your willing to risk some of the places that sell this thing I have seen it for as low as like 500. I have known people who have gotten burned several times on these low prices sites. but I installed it myself. if you took it somewhere its going to be a 3 hour install at least so they probably charge by the hour. Not sure what it would cost.

ya man the install was no joke. It took me a few hours as well. It was a fairly easy install just tedious. I mounted the nav antenna behind the 3 gauges on the dash. The deck came with some magnetic tape that I cut in the shape of the antenna and stuck to it. Here is a pic of it. Works good in that spot. I didn't want to run it and have it sitting on the outside of the car.

How do you like the route guidance with the F90? My D3 can be tricky sometimes but I usually use it as a backup to my own knowledge.
Iphone functionality - all features enabled?
BTW, the OEM navigation antenna is actually under the navigation door/center console, so I cut a hole in the navigation door and ran both my Ipod and navigation wires through it.

Yes you can. I havent done it yet because i completely forgot about it until I had everything taken apart. There is a converter you can get that will enable you to wire that all up.

Awesome! Thanks for the help man. Only other thing I am looking to do is replace the center console piece with the factory nav cubby. I want to put an F series or some type of pioneer nav in there make it look as OEM as possible.

hrmmm well I obviously just chose to do the double din. I think I have seen a few other people on this forum convert the empty cubby with the electronic nav cubby. I guess that would be what you want to do if you don't want a double din setup. Good Luck! Keep me posted on the progress.
