4000 DOLLARS for a muff? Are you sure you didn't mean yen??
I fail to see how anyone could possibly spend that much for a muffolurr....
Hmmmm, maybe it's one of those super catalytic converters that turn exhaust gases into pure oxygen and loops it back into the intake... under pressure.
PS And yes, I realize that 4000 yen is about $33USD.... Laff....

Not much better than a morning "tire test session" in the empty hills.
Sunday morning about 6:30am....
As I was about to do the turnaround at Hwy 9 & 236 (above pic) back up and over the hill, a pack of sport bikes FLEW by me. Bad behavior not usually condoned - but I did it anyways - I gave chase. A mile up, another bike coming down the hill hung a u-turn and chased ME. Wellllll, I pushed hard to try and stay way ahead of the guy, setting a personal speed record up through the wider sections. (Undisclosed.... )
Bottom line: NEVER caught - nor even caught sight of - the bikes, and waved the leather and knee pad clad rider on my butt by at first safe passing zone. He thanked me and disappeared. I came around the next bend not more than a few seconds later onto a 1/4 mile straight chute before next set of esses. No bike in sight. Holy crap, that guy was fast!! Maybe if I hung my leg out the door and scraped a knee pad like him?? Uhhhhh.....
Not so lucky for this guy....
Abandoned in the turnout where pics above were taken. No clue when that happened but I'd imagine in last few days. Eww.....

A couple weeks ago, I took my best friend Dustin's 350z Nismo down to Z1 Motorsports in Carrollton, GA, to get another round of mods done. A few weeks before that Drew and I had helped him install a brand new set of Corbeau sport seats in the Z, as well. Z1 installed a set of their headers, new high flow cats, a Z1 ported intake manifold, and then retuned it all. All said and done, it ended up gaining ~20hp at the wheels out of the new setup, in combination with his Nismo CAI's and Amuse Titan exhaust. We haven't gotten the dyno sheets yet but I'm guessing the torque gains, especially in the mid range are probably where the most gain was. We washed our cars yesterday morning, met up with my local 370z friend Matt for lunch, then drove down to the Clemson ICAR center for a few pictures yesterday afternoon.
