sickZ31/Z33's NISMO #903

I finally decided to make a thread about my NISMO :icon38:.. well actually I'm finally getting around to it, I've been wanting to share my NISMO's story/build for a long time.
First, a little bit of history about how my Nissan Z passion started. Just over a decade ago, at 15, my older brother gave me my first car/first Z. A 1985 Nissan 300ZX Turbo. When I got the car from him, it was literally a piece of junk:icon27:. The car looked like it belonged in a junk yard. It wasn't running, very bad exterior, and missing quite a few interior pieces. Nonetheless, I loved it from the day I received it. My first car, and it was free! :). Luckily, I was working a part time job at the time, and at that age I had no bills whatsoever, so pretty much all the money I was making, I was able to pour into the car. I fixed it up quite nicely.

Then in December of 2007 I purchased my next Z, my first 350Z. A beautiful redline red 2003 Nissan 350Z. So now I had my 300ZX and my 350Z, hence how my username came about. I fell in love with this car as well, it put a smile on my face everytime I got in it. I poured quite a bit of money into it as well.

Long story short about my unpleasant seperation from these cars, my Z31 got t-boned by a big rig, and my Z33 started having oil consumption issues at almost 100k miles so I opted to sell it.

Now Z-less :icon27:.. I started looking for my next Z. Originally I was thinking of jumping into a 370Z, but then I came across my current NISMO. The rarity, the performance, and the look of it is what made me choose it over the 370Z. In summer of 2012, I bought my current 2008 Nissan 350Z NISMO #903.

The day after I brought it home

I am the second, and most likely the last, owner of this car. Drove a couple of hours down to a Toyota dealership in San Diego where the original owner had traded it into. After a little research I actually found the original owner of my NISMO here in my350Z. His username, Akula. I'm so grateful to him because he took extremely good care of it and only put 30k miles on it. Also, what I really appreciated most is that he left it STOCK!.. other than a high tech Kenwood double din head unit (with navigation, bluetooth, and rear view camera).. but it came with one fault, it didn't come with its NISMO Certificate of Authenticity. I got in contact with him and he told me that he lost it while moving!:icon22:

Well obviously, like my previous Zs, I've poured a good amount of $$ into it as well.
These are the tasteful mods I've done to it so far (only naming perfomance mods):
-Stillen Generation 3 Ultra Long Tube Dual Intake Kit
-Stillen Performance Lightweight Crank Pulley
-HKS Catback Exhaust System - Hi-Power Stainless Steel Titianum Tip
-Tein Premium SPEC Comfort Sport Coilovers
-Hubcentric Wheel Spacers. 20mm fronts / 10mm Rears.

How my NISMO looks now

Nice what tire sizes do you have? They look a tad thin, how do they handle?

I'm running Toyo Proxes T1 Sport tires. 245/35/18 F 265/30/19 R. The width of them is the stock size my NISMO came with but I did go a size down on the sidewall. Honestly, they do handle well, but I think next time I'm going with a size wider on the rear and a little meatier. I still have plenty of life on these so it'll be a while til I go wider.. unless I get some new wheels first;)

When I decided that I was going to get a NISMO, it took me a couple of months to actually get it because I was specifically looking for a Pikes Peak White one.
Many plans.. suspension, wheels, bolt-ons, cobb tune etc.
And MAYBEE F/I but I don't know if I want to do anything really drastic to it since it is a NISMO. With just the parts that I can put on and easily remove later on, if I wish to, that should be enough for me. The car is amazing as it is.
I'm working on my M3 as well. I'm planning to go all out on that :).. I don't think I can make either of them fast enough to keep with my Hayabusa though:icon17:

Welcome, next to the Daytona Blue, Pikes Peak white is the best color IMO. Love it.

My NISMO has been SOLD!!
I had planned to never let her go, but unfortunately plans change.
It was one of my favorite cars I've had the pleasure of driving and owning.
I hope the new owner takes as good of care for her as I have. I'm moving on to better things

She Will Be Missed :cry2:
