nitrous in a 350Z

Does anyone have any experience, or know anyone that has Nitrous is their Z? I can't afford a forced induction kit at this time, and i want more power in my Z. Just so when i go to the neighbor island for the race track, i don't want to be stuck in the 14's with my Z.

I was thinking about just throwing in a 75 shot, but also with a progressive controller. I was told in here from someone that the Z's rods don't like a instant gain of torque, and can snap easier than most cars. I'm sticking to a stock block, and wanted to know if anyone has any ideas on what i should do? Is there anything else i should add to make it a little safer for my block when i go to the tracks? I don't want any more/less than 75shot.

***My car is still under the factory warrentee, so if it blows, i'll figure something out... :D

Thanks in advance for your help.

You will be fine with a 75 shot, there are many of us running more than that on a stock motor with no problems, I would suggest one step colder plugs as well, its a cheap investment and a quality kit like NX!
Contact Jeremy at Performance Factory, he is your go to guy for any NOS related things.

If you want to be safe even with 75 shot you'll want an engine management to retune the engine for spray. Without it your taking more of a risk than people lead off to believe.

would that affect the performance of my Z when running without the bottle?

That's why you buy EM like UTEC or Osiris so you can have different maps, 1 for NA and the other for N2O.

I ran N20 for around 2 years (only in the summer)...you'll be fine with a 75 shot so long as you dont hit your rev-limiter no problem without damage. As stated above, if you want to be really safe buy a S-AFC, UTEC, greddy e-manage, etc.

I changed your title for accuracy.

To answer your question, 75 shot in a 350Z is fine. You don't NEED to get a EMS + tune or a reflash for stock ECU. However, it would benefit you as opposed to not getting the above-stated done. Many people run 100 shot without a tune, but this is the point where you must seriously consider getting a tune. Just be sure to take precautionary steps (find out by searching) and you should be fine.
