Freshly Painted Bottle...No Tools Bottle Removal
Just finished painting my bottle. Took some shots of how easy it is to remove and put back in when getting a fill. Some don't like this install location but it makes for super quick tool-less removal and flush mounted goodness when you need the trunk space. Check it. I forgot to mention that this install includes a pressure regulated bottle heater, remote pillar mounted pressure gauge, bottle mounted pressure gauge, and purge kit. All hidden for the most part under the false floor I built out of mdf.

I think I used 3/4" MDF. I recessed the mount by gluing/screwing 4 or 5 pieces of MDF together to create the recess and cut holes through all but 1. As you can see the bottle just clears the bottom of the strut bar. Me being lazy is exactly why the bottle is located there. I can take the bottle out without any tools in about 25 seconds. Its' awesome!

Nice. I've thought about getting the wingnut also, but it costs way too much for me (still check ebay for them every once in a while though). The bottle bracket is also nice, but a bit bulky for me (and expensive).

i think the wingnut was only 29.99 if i remember correctly....and for what it does its absolutely worth it. Yes the mount is bulky and expensive but ultimately super functional...i guess thats the name of the game for me. Space is not an issue in that location so why not make it extremely functional.

if thats the stock flimsy piece of wood that came with the car, you're going to have some problems with it. mine got worn out over time and made way too much noise while driving. so i gutted it, got rid of the spare (that was AAA is for anyway right?)
