So I've made some changes to the set up. Still on an untuned 75 shot. Finally finished all my bolt ons, so I guess I should probably make an appointment.

A little video of a car exactly like my set up and driving.

I finally bought a digital pressure gauge and made a new switch panel. So nice seeing where the pressure is at without having to pop the hatch.

Also moved the bottle to the glove box for a little more stealth. I moved the glove box liner behind the driver seat. Had a cop question the hell out of me after being pulled over for another reason. He saw the handle peaking through.

Not sure if anyone comes here anymore, but finally got around to getting more done nitrous wise since buying a house.

Recently acuired a Turboxs utec and with countless hours and migraines finally got it to firmware 2.6 and maps loaded to play with. Thought I fried the thing trying to downgrade the firmware.

Also picked up the only map switch could find, but it had a different connector and finding the right molex connector was not happening. Luckily I was able to use two video card pig tails i had laying around.

I really didn't turn off knock. You guys would have to know who yolodouchebag is to see the humor in that.

So here's where I have questions. I pulled three degrees of timing from my window of 4k-6600 while tuning for a NX 100 shot, 53n jet. Everything was going good and I wasn't getting any counts of knock. Decided to open the window to 3500-6800 and got a p0303 right away. A/f is around 11.2-11.5 during a pull, is three degrees timing enough or should I really go for 4 and start reading the plugs while trying to add some back in. Car still ran good NA even with the melted ground strap and cracked porcelain. I screwed myself by getting lazy and not checking the plugs every oil change, so not sure if it was like that before the added shot or not. No knock ever showed up while playing with the nitrous map. Did do it once playing with the na tune.

Either way, already went through cyl 3 with a borescope and didn't see any issues and slapped in new plugs. Mainly want to know if 3 degrees is on the safe side to start tuning again or if I should back it off another degree before starting again.

Usually, the rule of thumb is 2º for every 50 shot.

I'm glad to see someone else actively pursuing nitrous.
(i've been lurking in here since way before my account was made)

I have pics of my install coming soon

Any plans for a dyno?

I'd really like to get some dyno time on it. Would make dialing this thing in so much easier. Can't really do a street run then pull a few plugs on the side of the road. Definitelty will get dyno time with the .057 jet.

Had some issues with tuning my 125 shot. I'd get a misfire on cyl 3 and would melt the ground strap on cyl 4. Pulled the plenum and flow tested the injectors. All were within .5 psi of each other. After gandering at the plenum for a while I think we found the issue. Fuel was puddling on bank 1 and leaning out bank 2. All the plugs but cyl 4 looked good. My wide band pulls off bank 2 and was between 11.1-11.5 the whole time. I think cyl 2 and 6 were probably running very rich and cyl 4 was starved. Was running a .057n and .028f jets. Backed the fuel jet down a couple sizes and added more fuel through the injectors. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet though.

And off topic. What would you guys price my set up at?
Running lightning NX solenoids with purge, dynotune bottle heater with electric gauge, fuel safety switch, bolt on fuel tap, turboxs utec with map selector and map sensor, z tube with 1/8 npt bung, shark nozzle, a bunch of jets up to a .067 and two 10lb NX bottles. only think needed would be a wide band, minimal wiring and some tuning. I'm not using the map sensor. It just came with the ecu.

Somewhere in the heaps of digging and reading I've been doing in the nitrous forum i read about a guy who was experiencing a similar issue and it turned out his cats went bad. Due to being clogged up they caused excess heat in the cylinders.

Any chance due to the age of your car you might be experiencing the same?
What exactly led you believe fuel was puddling in Bank 1, actually found puddling?

I'm (still) in the process of my install on my G and really the only thing I am worried about are the age of my cats. I likely will switch them out before I try higher than a 75 shot.

I'm on test pipes so it can't be the cats. It's just my theory since I was getting a cyl three misfire and burning up the cyl 4 plug. You can see the clean spots where the fuel travels though. I may just back it down to a 100 shot to finish off the bottles this year. Tried to lessen the fuel jet and add with the injectors, but there's just not enough injector for it.

Thinking I might have to go direct port if I want to keep going on nitrous. Or run bigger injectors and try leaning out the fuel jet again. I don't plan on going over a 125 anyways.

Default P0303 code after nitrous run

I'm not trying to open this again but I'm having a similar issue... car has been running fine and performs great until 2nd nitrous pass. Currently using the zex kit on 100 shot with a retard timing of -2 degrees. I have a misfire on cylinder 3, and thought I burnt up the spark plugs so I bought the ngk 1 degree colder plugs and same issue... No oil in cylinder 3 and if you unplug the coil pack you can definitely hear the miss... It's got power loss and hesitates at wot no matter what rpm you start out. Things I have done: cleaned maf, changed plugs all 6, checked for leaks around intake, and made sure tps was reading properly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.. I don't want to hear the compression is bad as that would be the worst case scenario.

yes I did figure it out. It was a coil pack that split on the boot causing it to fire on the spark plug tubes rather than the spark plug.

I built my own brackets to fit on the brackets that came with the kit so I can can read the pressure gauge when I look over my shoulder.

Mounted nmu behind plenum. Was a tight fit especially when you have a automatic transmission dipstick right underneath the fuel and nitrous lines. Yes I have a automatic.
