not much damage to the condo, had a tree fall on the fence/power line behnd my hous but didn't break it.
Got power around noon today.
Still no cable at home, but headed to work in the morning.
I'm just glad I got power, still a few people in Laf to BR and up north without power.

hey everybody. I don't have the internet a my dad's. I finally came over to my aunt's house to check my emails and such. Heather and I are in Long Beach/Gulfport at my dad's. He had a little damage here. Winds got up to about 85mph here. He had a couple smaller trees down. I've been trying to find out something about Houma but no luck. There is still no electricity or water. I don't know when we will get it back up and running. I may be going back tomorrow to check on my things and then heading back to Gulfport. I need to go clean out the freezer because I had about 20 lbs. of shrimp in there. Thanks to everyone that offered Heather and I a place to stay. It was greatly appreciated. We later decided to just head over to my dad's to watch the storm and move further north or east to avoid the storm. Thanks again. I'll post back here in a couple days when everything is back to seminormal. You can reach me on my cell if you'd like. Peace.

Good to hear from ya Dustin. I'm still in Lake Charles although I hear our house has power. I wanted to go tonight but my friend said 50 people got arrested last night due to being out past curfew so I'm not going to take that chance.

Bah typed out a big message and got owned by the wireless.
We are in Ohio as my wife got stranded in Canada (couldn't fly back). After 2 days of no power with a 9 month old, i decided to head up here and meet the wife.
Does anyone know if FEMA is reimbursing for generators this time? I'm to ghetto to buy one on my own. They are literally half priced here.
