F'n HUGE car show @ Grady Park [Sun Sep. 11, 2005]
 

OK, dammit, we have always talked about gathering together for a meet or a cruise. Well, Sunday September 11, 2005 is our chance! There's gonna be a huge, and I mean HUGE car show over at Grady Park on this day starting at ~11am... it's organized by an auto body shop and the local fire department, and they're expecting between 300-500 cars of many different makes n models. I don't have the exact details just yet, but I believe there will be 30 different classes to compete in for awards... from stock import and stock classic to modified import and modified classic. It's only $5 to enter your car to be judged, or you can join the show for free and decide not to be judged.

So my plan is this: I say we meet in downtown Milwaukee over at the marina at around 10am and then take the ~25 min drive up north to Port Washington for the show. It should be a good time :) . I doubt anybody from Chicago would be interested in joining us, but they're more than welcome if they are! There's even a pancake breakfast at the show sponsored by the fire department... can't go wrong with cars and pancakes... :icon38:

So who's interested?!? Oh yea, I guess the past couple of years, there have been these dumb rice teams showin up with their ricey, decal-to-the-max rides at the event, reppin their name all hard core n crap. If not for the show alone, I think it'd be cool just to show these guys up... lol

Maybe I would join up with you guys when you get to the 45 North area? In west allis. Don't want to head downtown to come right back!

Hey silverstone, Small world, The guy who works for me is good friends with the show owner! I got all the scoop. The registration and show times are actually from 8-5, so we should go before 10:00. They will not allow cars in past 11:00. Call me on my cell, I will not be by a computer after 4:00 today. This sounds to be a kick *** show, last year in the sport modified class a cavalier won. haha, small world for sure. i found out about the show from my coworker too. i guess my coworker grew up with the owner's son or something like that. anyways, how do you wanna do this? you want to meet up earlier than that or something? i posted about this meet over at chicagoz.com so who knows, some of them might be interested. i think 1 or 2 actually said they'd wanna come along. btw, what's your name so that when i call you i'm not all like "uh, can i speak to 350zlove?" :icon18: in case you couldn't figure out from my sig or my avatar, my name is francis. :)

not much at all cuz i'm still in college... i did two cosmetic mods and one engine mod: 35% tints, chrome grille, and the JWT pop charger

i'm hoping by next summer i'll be more heavily modified (wheels, suspension, brakes, exhaust, minor body work, forced induction.....) :icon38:
