The last event I did with Nasa in group 2 was horrible. I rarely got a hot lap in because the lack of point bys and being on track with first timers. Regardless, I'm excited to meet you all. You guys should check out 1010ths some time. I am doing a one day event with them at Putnam on July 2nd.
Does NASA allow you to jump to next group (Group 3) if you are always getting stuck with first timers in Group 2?
Yaay, it's good you finished it sooner than later
Yikes, no backups?

[QUOTE=mekatoka;8479592]Heard about 1010ths but both the tracks you mentioned are a good 4.5hrs+ from metro detroit and it would be too much driving. Hopefully in the next few years.

Group 1 and 2 are on the track at the same time. They let group 2 go out first since they have a little more experience and then group 1 follows right behind. The last time I did an event with NASA which was at Mid Ohio in April, I was the 3rd-5th car to go out in group 2 and within 2-3 laps I was caught up to the back of the group 1 pack. At this point, I have to wait for a point by which doesn't come fast enough and you run into trains of people. It is very difficult to get in a good hot lap. NASA HPDE3 and 1010s Intermediate groups have the same rules. I ran in the Intermediate group with 1010ths and it was so much better. You can pass anywhere on track with a point by, everyone is much faster and more aware of their surroundings and I was able to get tons of hot laps in. I am hoping this is the same with NASA's HPDE3. I think I have to get signed off though. I should be able to this weekend at Beaverun.
I am down for some karting afterwards too.

Yes, Beaverun is a cool little track. There are a ton of elevation changes. I'm glad to hear that people think I'm fast. I think I'm doing ok, but I honestly don't know how I stack up. We'll see. I can't wait till Mid Ohio.

A couple of us signed up for Group 1 (yeah, we're still noobs ) I think Deepu (mekatoka) might have signed up for group 2.
I know sektor has been a couple times so maybe he's in a faster run group.
Do they allow non-instructor passengers? If so then maybe I can get a ride with you
PS ~ Were you really on street tires this past weekend? They all said you were on r-comps....haha

Yes, I was on street tires. I never saw anyone come check to see what tires I was on. I can take a pic of my chewed up tires and post them on here to prove it. I am getting new tires before my one day event this Friday. My fronts are shot actually. I am out of town for work at the moment, but I'll be home tomorrow and I'll take pics to show you. Bridgestone RE50A's are whats on there. I have the 370Z wheels on my car and those tires are the ones that were on the wheels when I bought them. They come like that from the factory. I just ordered some Yokohama ADVAN sports. I know it might seem hard to believe, but I am practically sliding through most of those turns. The other video I posted was from my buddies Vette, he was on street tires too. He is on Nitto NT-05's.

Fix-
Post up pics, I have those wheels and am curious how they look on a 350Z.
Also what did you think of them at the track, I haven't had the time or ability to get to a roadcourse with them to personally give them a trial.
Thank you for the feedback
