I posted pics when I first put them on. Search for it on here. Search "370 wheels on 350" or something like that. They are a little too big for the track since they are 19's, but they did just fine. After I burn up these new tires I just got I am going to get some 17's or 18's to put on for track use.

Well, I just ordered my oil cooler. I'll be out of town this weekend (hopefully) so when did you guys want to get together? It can be done on ramps so we could do it here or wherever else really. I just need to get some oil and a filter now!
I did a quick coin check on my tires and I was amazed with how well they've held up. Looks like better than 4/32" - 6/32" after 15,350 miles. That includes a (slow) wet day at Waterford, a hot (mostly slow) day at Gingerman, and the dragon runs. By the time my 07's tires had 15,000 miles of highway/city miles the road felt like glass in the rain.

What kind of oil cooler did you get? I am thinking of getting one soon. Do you know what your oil temps are on hot track days?

When I wasn't caught in traffic on a ~70-75F day at Gingerman the gauge was over 280F by the cooldown lap. Had I had another lap I would have surely put it into limp mode. Last week in the 90F heat I was running around 220F down the interstate in 6th gear. No hard driving.
I don't want to be sitting around watching my all too short sessions at mid-o, so I went ahead and spent the money.

Dope Lee. Man 400 bucks, add that to the list of things to buy....As for which weekend.....how about Saturday the 10th after the boyland meet? Or if not the 17th?
Fixxxer he has a 370. I'm curious to which oil cooler you're looking for your 350 though, as I will need to get one eventually as well.

A couple of us signed up for Group 1 (yeah, we're still noobs ) I think Deepu (mekatoka) might have signed up for group 2.
I know sektor has been a couple times so maybe he's in a faster run group.
Do they allow non-instructor passengers? If so then maybe I can get a ride with you
PS ~ Were you really on street tires this past weekend? They all said you were on r-comps....haha

Yeah. Z1 rocks. The 370Z does have some pretty bad oil heating issues. I think it got worse when I switched from the Nissan ester oil to Eneos, but that could just be my imagination. Guys down south have said they can't finish more than one or two laps without an oil cooler.
After the Boyland meet is a great idea, Rob. Let's plan on that then.

Nice Fixxer! I saw your brembo swap thread. Good thing those guys caught the caliper issue lol. Man that's crazy you're so fast on the RE050a's.
What other suspension mods do you have? And who made your roll bar?
edit: oh btw, nice truck haha...don't expect a chevy towing a Z with jdm tails lol

Fixxxercask - Nice car, see you at Mid-Ohio. I saw your videos, nice driving
Lee - Sorry man, I won't be able to help out with the oil cooler install. I have a track day that day at Waterford. You guys are welcome to stop by after the Nissan meet at Waterford if you guys are not doing anything.
I'll get an oil cooler sometime soon. Ideally I should be getting the oil cooler first but want to get the exhaust.

I have SPL front upper A-arms, SPC rear camber arms and toe bolts to get my alignment dialed in. I am in desperate need of some sways and coilovers. Still stock in that department.
The truck and trailer are borrowed. I am looking to get a truck hopefully within the next year. It is kind of funny to see that. I used to just drive my car to the track, but I am pushing it harder and harder and I am terrified something is going to happen when I'm 4 hours from home, then I'm screwed, plus the car has 71k miles on it, so I am trying to keep all the miles off of it that I can.
I do not have a roll bar, its actually just a harness bar. I think originally some guy on the forum here made them and was selling them, but I found it on Enjuku Racing's page. It works well for me, plus its blue which if you haven't noticed is my favorite color.
Mekatoka: Thanks for the comment. I see from your sig, you are running XP10s/8s. I just started running the same staggered set up this past weekend and it worked pretty good. What group will you be signing up for at Mid Ohio?

Tech for NASA HPDE
Are you guys sure about the tech on the cars for NASA events? The following text is from NASA page
Tech Shops:
You are encouraged to get your pre-teched at an approved Tech Shop before the event. Follow this link for a list of Approved Tech Shops.
We will perform your tech at the track, but please plan to arrive early. All cars MUST be teched before going on track.
Somebody said you can do your own tech on the car? Is this true or do we need to go to the approved shop?

Great I already have trouble getting to the track by 8.
Hey Michigan guys, any of you want to try out a different track this year with me - other than Grattan, Gingerman, Waterford and Mid-Ohio?
